calling for help

Erin, do you believe that literally when you call out to God/source or to spirits for help they actually respond? I've had incidents, and have been in very tight jams before, but sometimes when I stop and pray for help, I always receive it.
I was reading one of Steve's post about making a leap in your consciousness....Suppose you have noone around to help you and you are stuck in a realm of fear? If you pray for help or call for help, is there help literally you believe?

I believe that when you ask you shall receive. The method by which the help comes may be easily discernable or it may be obscured. The help may come in a way that is comfortable for you and sometimes uncomfortable. But yes, if you ask for help, you will get it.

how does one ask?

how does one receive (that is make the help discernible and hopefully comfortable)?

You don't decide if the help will be comfortable or not, they decide, or the Universe decides.

If you adopt a control strategy, you will handle your problem in the best way you can. But when you call out to the universal energies you are adopting a faith/love/trust model and yeah, you don't get to decide in what form that help comes.

As for asking, ask in your heart, your mind, your soul. Write it on a piece of paper. Asking any way you can will work.

I've never prayed in a Good way, with a good Heart, and with pure intent and NOT been answered. Big things or small, it doesn't matter. When help is sought in a good way and for the benefit of all, it is granted.

What do you ask for? You ask for what you need; in whatever way you need to ask it to feel it in your Heart. That is key; you have to ask for help from your heart. If you do this, help will be given. But, as Erin said, you may not like what you get.

I once prayed for Patience and Humility. Two weeks later I was out of a job and was unemployed for nine months.

If you pray for Humility, you will be humbled. If you pray for Patience, you will be made to wait. If you pray for Strength, you will be given burdens. If you pray for courage, you will face fear.

You may get to choose the lessons you learn, but your Benefactor, Guides and Allies will choose how you learn it. Sometimes they're merciful and will teach you gently. Sometimes...not so much.
