Circumstances where guides refuse to speak

What are the circumstances where guides do not tell you what you wish to know?

Can a person's guides disagree with each other on possible results waiting on different ends of different paths one choose to walk on?

I can understand if psychic mediums pass on different information to sitters due to how perspectives can be conveyed into very different impressions. However, reasons for silence from guides are unknown to me.

Sometimes guides appear to be able to answer some questions during the same contact from the same psychic. In my experience the ability of psychics are never flawed - it seemed like guides intend to remain silent on some questions I have in mind.

Another great question. Man we have some insightful people here!

Yes, I've asked questions of guides on behalf of my sitters and the guides pause to discuss. Sometimes they do not agree on an answer. For example, if the sitter asks, "Should I eat an apple or an orange?" (you know, as a simple example) the guides can't answer because what they want is for you to eat a vegetable so your question is not a good question. And sometimes one guide will be like, "Yeah, go out with the guy, it will be quite a learning experience" while another guide is saying, "He's abusive. Don't go down that road. It will take years to recover." This sort of disagreement was unexpected.

This is why I like to first download all the info the guides want to give you before we get to your questions, so they get their say first. They know you're coming and they usually know what you want them to address, so they cover that in the first 5-10 minutes.

I have also had guides go quiet on me. They won't even tell me why they won't answer. I am at the mercy of what they tell me (or don't tell me).

Sometimes I am told that they cannot answer a question because the sitter needs to work it out for themselves. But they will usually tell me why so at least I can convey that to my sitter.

And guides are so differnet. Some are just so chatty and witty and some are stoic and logical and analytical. I am still exploring all there is to explore out there. I'm sure I've just scratched the surface.

Go Erin! ;)

I also felt the persona of the guides can be deeper than it seems on the surface. Perhaps they aren't deliberately trying to be especially witty, chatty, or quiet. They want to be themselves in the ether.

Somehow this leads me feeling somewhat disconnected to guides. They don't seem to always want to help me in ways that make sense to me. If my own intuition is the closest thing to my guides' voices, then all the intuitive voices in my head may have different personalities backing up their reasonings!

And this would add more difficulty to distinguishing some egoic thoughts and intuitive thoughts.

I can still choose to eat papayas instead of apples and oranges. However, if I consulted my guides before trying, and if they don't tell me that I will get allergic reactions after eating papayas, that'd be very frustrating!

They may want me to actually experience allergy, in this case, so it'd be a life lesson. Although I'd much prefer that they hint that a lesson is awaiting for me.

I had an experience where all of my guides remained completely silent a while ago when I hoped to hear their say. Not even hellos. Absolutely nothing. I perceived that they are hinting "come back to us when you have better questions to ask" and they suddenly appeared to speak to me one week later with much more clarity to answering questions that were practically "better" for me but for no one else's.

Maybe we haven't truly finished concocting our own life plans while being alive and growing. Our guides may be aware of most of our paths before our incarnation, but sometimes they don't accompany you and guide you while walking on some paths, and you really only have yourself to depend on. Personally, I think it felt lonely this way, but I learned those life lessons well.

This of it this way... in school your teachers educate you on a topic and during this education they answer your questions so you understand the material. But then there is a test. And the teacher won't give you the answers during the test. She hopes you've listened to the educational part and that you can easily pass the test. If you fail the test, you can ignore the material or you can go back and master it until you get it right.

it's not that the guides have abandoned you, it's that you're in a test period where you need to apply what you've learned.

Maybe this will help too.

I found some of my guides not talking, until I realized this:

To add to this - it can be tempting to ask the guides' advice on every matter, large and small, but guides won't run your life for you, so there will be periods where the guides step back to give you some space to put what you've learned into practice.

Asking good questions is really important. I've been chided in the past by my Guides for asking poor questions. Things like, "What the hell was that?? That wasn't even a proper sentence, much less a question! Try it again." My Guides like me to be very clear in my head and heart before I go asking questions. When I do that - get clear on the real question - I find I know the answer already without having to turn to my Guides.

Timing is also important. I've asked good questions at the wrong times and gotten no answers. Then, a few weeks or months later, I'll run across something or something will happen and I suddenly have a better understanding of what I was asking the first time. THEN I get the answers. It's like asking someone how to build a watch when you don't even have a basic understanding of the concept of time. How do you answer that? Or more importantly WHY would you answer that?

Thank you for all the insightful posts!

Guides may drop in some hints here and there in our dreams, physical coincidences, and intuition. The most intricate task is to sort out what points you to the direction you truly want to head to. Even intuition or dreams offer multiple impressions on the same matter. For example, once I dreamed of happily married to an ex-boyfriend, then another day I had a vividly devastating dream where he was about to die of asthma.

I couldn't identify my true mentality and confidence towards the relationship. Therefore, conflicting moments like these have made me sought "ah-ha" moments from my guides.

Addition to that, I usually seek guides' opinion on solution-based questions, not preference-based questions. Sometimes I was already determined to walk down a path I've chosen but didn't know how to improve or manifest certain situations. Guides may still fall silent on me at this point. Some time may pass. Then they will start offering advice again when I steered myself towards another road.

And usually the newer road seems to be the better road for my growth (still can't comment accurately on that right now), may it be very distinct from my original desire. :o It still somewhat confuses me how guides don't always offer retrospection, prediction, and clarification on less favorable paths. But timing is a powerful tool for tests, isn't it?

Yes, timing does seem quite important.:D Although I personally don't really talk with my guides like all of you seem to, I just more of feel which way I should tackle a lesson or solve a problem.

Hi,

I tend to find that guides use the path of least resistance when trying to get a message across.

So, let's say you buy an angel-number book or some other number book (or are drawn to buy one). You read it and get more curious about it and from there you start to pay more attention to numbers and their meanings. Next, you start to notice numbers repeating around you e.g. 222, or if one of your strongest senses is clairvoyance you may get numbers in your meditations or numbers popping into your head. It doesn't necessarily have to be numbers, it could be symbols, animals, flowers.. whatever..

Also, the path of least resistance could be when you randomly stumble across a book that is relevant, or a conversation that covers things you were wondering about.

IMO, expecting most answers to just come from a conversation with guides is pretty limiting, and you might be missing all other responses that are being given to you in other ways. Just because they aren't speaking to you doesn't mean that you're not being heard or they're not going to guide you in some other way.

It's hard to understand guides motivations because all we have is our own perceptions/interpretations/assumptions. We don't have the whole picture and what idea we do have is based on our own physical experiences and personal biases.

Unless Guides feel it is okay to share and it's a part of your path, e.g. who they are and what they've agreed to do, or what you're here for, then you're not going to find out. They're also not going to interfere with your free-will. The information may also come at a later time, when you're ready.

Also, you may not be getting the help or the answers you need because it is what your ego wants and not your soul or higher-self wants or knows is best.

If you find yourself walking down a less favorable path then you're probably going to hit a few walls or slow down (+ things just won't seem right). In the end, it's your choice to either keep going or to change direction.
Your guides won't always stop you if you resist things or push against things, and they and your Higher-self may feel that the best way for you to learn is to fall flat on your face.

I think Erin's 'Like Rats in a Maze' article was pretty good, as it covers paths. Like Rats in a Maze

Perhaps in the instances where your guides aren't saying a thing is because they're trying to get you to trust yourself (push on and persevere) and to rely on your own perceptions/intuition to see you through. They're not going to hand-feed you everything, especially in instances where they know you're fully capable of accomplishing the task. Also, if you're not getting much information from guides try going straight to your Higher-self/Source to see if you can get an answer. Trust is important. Don't feel discouraged if things aren't working out as you like or if the pieces aren't falling into place quick enough. Trust it's for the best and that all things fall into place at the right time.

I find these same issues with guides, not always willing to talk about a specific client's questions, not always giving me answers that I can understand and (especially) not always agreeing with each other on a piece of information.

Though generally their info is strong, concise and very insightful, I have learned that this cannot always be so.

What I have figured out over the past few years is that there are numerous reasons why this may be:

1. The guides do not feel like they should be answering this question and want the person to figure it out for themself.

2. The guides do not feel that they can answer the question (ie. are not qualified.)

3. They feel that the person should be asking a different question (ie. one that is more timely or more important.)

4. With the unlimited types of guides that one can encounter, some live on different planes, have different abilities and points of view etc. (ie. inability to agree based on fundamentally different viewpoints.)

5. The cryptic nature of their words comes from the basic fact that they do not give answers per se, they give guidance. (Very different things.)

6. Their ultimate goal, beyond guiding you, is to maintain your free will above even their own unmanifest desires.

I hope that this helps!

Blessings,
