Lucid Dream & Past Life regression?

I found this forum towards the end of last year when I started having very profound Psychopompic dreams. Since that time, I've been working on expanding my lucidity and dream control and refining my intent during these dreams.

Last night I had a particularly powerful LD. It was one of the most Lucid I've had. I knew exactly who I was, exactly what was happening and was able to completely control both my environment and my intent within the dream.

In this dream, my intent was to connect with family and friends who had crossed over.

And I did.

I connected with my Father and my older brother. We had a great connection and much was affirmed for me in terms of what I was doing. I also connected with two friends from Highschool who had crossed over and again was met with amazing warmth and love. And two of my most loved dogs who have crossed over came to me - both as puppies, but undeniably them - and we romped like a pack of kids. It was great!

In the dream, I was also helping someone else connect with their dead relatives. This is where things get a little strange for me.

This was a person whom I knew in the Dream, but do not know in this life. I didn't perceive her as dead in my dream - quite the contrary, I felt that she was very much alive and in real need of this connection.

The other, weirder thing, was that I was an only child until I was 12 - I'm the oldest of five - and my current father is not dead (at least he wasn't as of a week ago when we last talked).

I know that these people in my dream were my dad and my older brother. I know that we had a life together. As I said, I was completely Lucid and knew exactly who I was and that I was having a very Lucid Dream in which I was connecting to my deceased relatives and friends.

I've never experienced anything remotely connected to a past life so far as I can tell, and I'm wondering if these individuals may have been related to me in a previous incarnation.

Any thoughts?

So let me be sure I understand. The people you saw in the dream... did they look like they do to you now or was it their familiar soul but in a different body?

Completely different appearance - at least in the case of my father. Though he did smell the same if that makes any sense. And it didn't even occur to me until I woke up that 1. that's not what my dad looks like, 2. my dad's not dead, and 3. I don't have an older brother and never have - at least in this life - which is what led me wonder about the possibility of a past-life relationship somehow.

And then there's the other woman in the dream. Again, someone whom I knew during the dream as a friend, but upon waking - and still having a very clear image of her in my mind's eye (even to the present moment) - have no idea who it was.

And also the high school friends. Three very close friends with whom I shared a great deal of my youth - and yet no one in this life fits that description that has crossed over.

If it hadn't been such a clear Medicine dream I would just write it off as a playground dream. But it was SO vivid and I was SO lucid....

Ah yes, then yeah, I've had that happen to me many times. I'm fully immersed in the past life dream, aware of who I am in that life and all that, and I can see some people in my past life who are here with me today. Very common way to get past life info.

The woman in my dream was dying.

That's why she needed her relatives so badly.

I just got that.

Whew.... that was different....
