Can your inner self hate you?

I was in a dream last night when suddenly I realized "Oh cool, I'm dreaming. I can do whatever I want." BTW I'm 16, in high school, and have never gotten to reach my inner self or spirit guides yet (but want to!), so I decided it'd be a great idea at the time to pour a cup of water on this girl I REALLY dont like, which I guess sounds really cruel that I think of it now. She's my age and pregnant. So in my dream I do exactly as I wanted, and this LOUD, female voice that seems to come from all directions suddenly screams "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? HOW COULD YOU HAVE DONE THAT TO SOMEONE??" she went on to say she was ashamed of helping me in my life journey and was starting to hate me. Ive never experienced this kind of voice in my dream that simply stopped the dream and asserted me this way, does that just happen in dreams sometime or could that be something else trying to reach me?

That wasn't your Higher Self speaking to you -- that was a gremlin!

Gremlins are old pain or habitual negative thought patterns whose purpose is to convince you that you are a limited being. Some people call gremlins the "ego." When you are present to who you really are -- unlimited power, love, and abundance -- the gremlins go into their death throes, and they don't want to go easy! They will fight to keep you believing them, kicking and screaming, and one way to do that is to appear in your dreams and confuse you about their existence and reality. Good for you for recognizing that there might be tricksters afoot!

That said, your dream might be a signal for you to examine what this pregnant girl symbolizes for you, that you are projecting out your hatred onto her. Something about the choices you are making in your life, maybe? Whatever it is, it's you, not her. If you are able to get to a point of forgiveness for this girl, it's possible that you can forgive whatever it is you are loathing about yourself.

I really don't think our guides or Higher Self will hate us or judge us for our actions. Especially for throwing water on someone in a dream! Our guides, angels and HS are non-judgmental and are only there to help us grow. The being that scolded you was probably just your conscience. And it is great thing to have such a strong conscience that will keep you from hurting others, even in dreams!
