What do you think the hallucinations are caused by? I'm thinking it might be since you're moving consciousness to your ethereal body, you're picking up other frequencies since you're tuning your mind to reach the astral state. This is in conjunction with the radio analogy, how you're trying to find the right station in a midst of static and choppy transmissions.

Yes exactly, those are my thoughts as well.
