Default Protective force field

i was reading your article about the loa and I have a question...lets say that you want protection from negative energy...I read this book and one thing that stuck out to me was where it mention you can put up your shields to guard yourself from negative intention...actually there was an affirnmation that goes with it saying that the universe is rejecting all negative energies that may be trying to pass my protective field...I wonder though are you attracting evil to you by putting up a shield to keep it away?

This is what I do when I feel afraid... or when my son has a nightmare.

I close my eyes, visualize my love for him, and think to myself, that only love may enter my home. I bathe my home in the white light of love. And I FEEL it. I FEEL the love I have for my son, my husband, for those in my life. I FEEL it so strongly sometimes, it makes me cry or gives me goosebumps.

As for thinking about "repelling negativity" and if it actually will attract it more because you are thinking about negativity in general... well, try not to shift your thinking away from the negative.

I do it by changing my thoughts to:
my house is protected by my love. All those who are love based may enter my home. I invite love and peace into my home. ONLY love and peace my enter my home. (I use "home" to refer to the area I want to protect.)

See how this is different than thinking: all you evil beings stay out? You cannot enter here? All negativity go away?

It is a shift in thinking what you allow, what you WANT... not what you want to REPEL, or what you DON'T want.

Hope that helps you. I know it helps me.
The nightmares stop, the fear exits. I find that negative beings prefer not be surrounded by your love and white light.

Default i get that

I understand that you should only allow love to pass your shield, but aren't you pretending evil doesn't exist if you don't guard yourself against it?

Andwan,

I dont' pretend that evil doesn't exist. I just choose not to focus on it.

Maybe an analogy will help... There is a difference in these two statements:
1. don't forget to buy milk
2. remember to buy milk

The first one, focuses on me forgetting. And I normally will. (Unless I make a list). The second statement stresses remembering. And when I think #2, I remember better.

Does that make sense? So, see if you can spot the difference in these two statements:
1. only love and light may enter here
2. evil and darkness stay out

This is what I'm actually talking about. Just because I choose #1 doesn't mean I don't think evil and darkness doesn't exist. I just choose not focus on them, to not allow them in by omission - evil and darkness is not love and light.

Either way, this is just a way that helps me keep nightmares and fear from entering my thoughts when I start feeling fear. I just wanted to share it with you because it worked for me - hoping that it will help you too.

If you feel that it will not help you, don't follow it. You always have the choice to choose your own methods based on your own experience.

If you want to debate on if this method is the right method, I'm afraid I lose - because I can't prove it is right for you. And there is not way for me to prove it is right for me to you.

Mother Teresa once declined an invitation to speak at an anti-war rally by saying, "When you have a rally for peace, I'll be there."

Now that's one cool chick.

Default the secret

yes, I read that statement about mother teresa in the book The Secret...However, I get what you mean...One more promblem that I have though...I'm trying to quick smoking...How can I concentrate on not allowing that bad habit into my protective force field? I have to say that this habit cannot pass though my force field right in order to keep it away...just like i say that evil cannot pass through my field...

Andwan,

I am not sure how to turn "I will quit smoking" into something that doesn't focus on smoking. So I am thinking that your intention, "I am quitting smoking" will be just fine as an intention. But you still have to do the legwork - taking action.

Please read Erin's blog post here about that:
Law of Attraction and the Role of Action

Some people can quit cold turkey. Some need the nicotine patch. Some people take some sort of shot that is kind of like aversion therapy. Read up on what you can about others who have quit and find a method that is suited to who you are.

Believe in yourself and live as if you have quit smoking. You must truly believe that quitting smoking is something you can accomplish, that it will happen. That is step 1. Step 2 is taking action.

I am unfamiliar with how to quit smoking so I have nothing to give in this department.

But believe in yourself. And be kind and forgiving of yourself if you do fumble when you quit smoking. Two steps forward, one step back. If it were not for the one step back, we would never learn and grow.

I know you can do it. If it takes a while, so what? Anything worth undertaking doesn't happen over night.
