Cool My Goodness You're Fast!

Erin,

When you said you'd put this on your list...I figured well maybe in a week or so.
I was sure you had enough material that you had planned on getting to first.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed.

Ask and it is Given...this is the fastest answer I have ever received.

Big Hug to you and that tea toting higher self of yours.

Hahaha, actually this particular topic has been on my list for a couple of weeks but you reminded me how many people ask about it. Also, for some reason, my higher self is getting really pushy about the posts I'm doing. The last four have been more of her than me. I might try doing a blog entry where I simply show a dialogue that I have with her. Might be insightful to see how our conversations go.

Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Erin on this awesome post on chakras. After reading it, I feel that I have been most connected to my crown chakra. Sometimes my heart chakra too, but it seems like lately this hasn't been too opened.

Will test out the cleaning experiment too.

Thanks again! You're great. Hugs!

When I was taking a course on parapsychology (private, nothing formal), I've been taught about chakras as well. Interestingly, I've been taught a similar meditation for clearing the chakras, where one should imagine them spinning in their color.

There are some differences, like we made sure chakras 2-6 were closed and 1,7 open. Plus, chakras 2-6 go both to the front and to the back of the body.

But like you said, Erin, there are many ways of taking care of the chakras and the method you described is very easy and should do the work, so to speak.

Default How To Tune Your Heart Chakra

Happy Thanksgiving, Erin!

And thank you for this awesome post - it's a great 101 breakdown, and I particularly dig your visualization of the spinning energy, and the Plug-in /Cord /Electrical Socket image is a great insight.

I'm with you on the "if you'd asked me at age 30..." I've found that the more I learn about Spirit, the more I have to be willing to totally revamp my earlier beliefs and as you put it "eat my words."

Tuning the Heart Chakra

One of the chakra-basics I was really clueless about until recently was the importance of the Heart Chakra, and how we try to process - plug in cords from Source - using the wrong socket.

We have a tendency to Process Feelings as Information - emotions are not data.

We acquire Wisdom through the Heart, not the Head. Knowledge and Understanding is not the same thing as Wisdom - experience, with the powerful emotional component, leads to wisdom.

We over-think, get stuck in our Thinking Mind, trying to force the wrong Cord into the wrong Plug.

Wisdom and the Heart are the reason why Stories and Fiction remain so powerful in this age of data and information.

Several months ago, Sonia Choquette shared a great exercise on her radio show for Tuning the Heart Chakra.

The exercise is SO simple, takes only moments to execute, and my personal results from using it are too many to mention here.

Read my interpretation of How to Tune Your Heart Chakra.

Talking Chakra Cleansing...Amazing

OH MY GOD!

This has totally amazed me. I did the chakra cleansing last night before I went to sleep. Tweeked it a bit to personalize it. And my "radio" started to tune in, in a very audible way.

First it was a blip and I felt goose bumps, then it was a bit louder blip and the goose bumps again. So I asked for "them" to slow down so I could hear them. And behold... a very clear 3 word sentence. This voice didn't come for inside my head...it was like someone was standing to my right and speaking to me.

Today I feel absolutely wonderful, at peace, joy, joy, joy.

Happy Thankgiving everyone!!

Hey Erin, I'm skeptical when it comes to chakras. I'll give you the benefit of doubt and assume that they exist, but how do I detect/verify for myself where the major ones are located and what color they are? So I can reinvent the wheel at discovering chakras so to speak.

I was skeptical too. But I did the cleansing and the tuning and great things started to happen. Just try it and see. Also, chakra information is very old. Google it and see what you find. And share what you find so we can read it too

The thing is, I've been looking for information on how to "derive" the chakras for some time now (and I was hoping you'd be able to answer it ). That's what frustrates me the most about all these new age beliefs. Practitioners and people on the forefront will say huge claims as fact but when it comes to how one can verify or discover these things on their own, they'll change the subject.

But in any case I'll try the chakra cleanse you suggest and if I discover some new information, I'll definitely post it. I'm not holding my breath though.

Thanks for this post - it was very timely for me.

I met a someone about a month ago and he explained how he had cleared his eczema bit by bit doing the meditation you describe above every day for about three months. I thought it was interesting, but didn't do anything about it. However, every book I have read since then has mentioned chakras and chakra clearing exercises. So ok - I have the message, I need to clear my chakras!

I just did the exercise. At first I wasn't sure how I would know when I had cleared one chakra and was ready to move onto the next. Because I can self-test using kinesiology I was able to test to find out when each chakra was clear. I was surprised how long it took before I got a 'yes' to say I could move on and funnily enough when I did get the 'yes' the energy did feel subtly different around me. So if you are doing this - I would suggest you might need to spin the energy for longer than you think.

My husband just commented that I seem to have loads more energy than usual this evening even though I've had a much longer working day than usual, so I thought I would take a break from bouncing around the house to tell you my results. Thanks

I just realized that the colors corresponding with the chakras from bottom to top follow the colors of the Rainbow or as some of you probably know the acronym ROY G BIV

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

I guess its an easy way to remember and easier to visualize. cheers.

Hi Holistic Star

How did you self-test using kinesiology? About how long did it take you to clean each chakra?

Thanks

Good post, however...
Energy should still be considered a part of the sensory/illusory world that you eventually will need to detach from to reach higher levels. Playing with energy/chi/prana and thier attendant feelings is still just play.

You should be able to see where the chakras are using a pendulum.
Take a pendulum in your hand and lower it so it becomes between your legs, centered with the body, close to it. Start lifting it bit by bit and wait several seconds. The pendulums should spin where your chakras are. The stronger the chakra, the more it should spin.

I have two questions for Erin, or for anyone with enough knowledge on the subject to be able to answer them:

Is it possible that, even though you've never cleansed your chakras before, that not all of them are blocked?

How important is it that you follow the 'order of the chakras' (from bottom to top) when cleansing?

I tried this exercise last night in bed and for some reason I was automatically drawn to the Solar Plexus to begin with. In the beginning there was a lot of resistance though, every time I tried to focus on myself lying there, its like something was trying to prevent me from 'zooming in' on myself. I also felt a lot of pressure in my stomach area, like a big knot. In the end I think it may have worked because I started to feel really good all of a sudden. However, afterwards when I tried to move on to the other chakras, it was like I couldn't connect anymore and I'm not sure whether that's because there was nothing to cleanse or if it was because of something else (something wrong with my visualization perhaps).

Hope someone can help me out.

How is this different from the ideomotor effect?

Kimberly, I have done work on one chakra, like my heart chakra or throat chakra, on numerous occasions. You can definitely isolate and work on one.

Going from bottom to top allows you to raise your vibration as you go.

Default clarification

What is the distinction between clear chakras (no gunk), and open chakras? Is a clear chakra necessarily open, and is an open chakra necessarily clear? Thanks!

Default Chakra

One thing that has always perplexed me about chakras, and hopefully someone can answer this for me, because I haven't found any satisfactory answers to date; why is it necessary for centers that are allegedly non-physical in nature, to have physical locators?

For example, why is the "root" chakra at the base of the spine rather than the solar plexus? Or, why is the "third eye" chakra not where the "brow" chakra should be? Would an alien that had a completely different set up of organs have a different arrangement of chakras? Apparently they have SOME sort of connection with the physical body, else why would the "sexual chakra" be right where the genitals are? Or how about invertabrates -- what would their chakra system look like? Would they still have seven?

As you can see, I have alot of questions about chakras. I think there is something to them, but from what I've seen, they appear to be a little understood phenomena. If someone has any of these answers, please share them with me. I'm very curious. PM me if you like, or just post it in this thread. I want to understand. I get somewhat tired of people religiously quoting their functions without explaining why they exist in accordance with the how. I would be especially interested in hearing what individuals who have conscious connections to the ethereal or nonphysical world have to say, posing these questions to their various sources.

From what I've read...

Physical reality is only one small portion of a larger spiritual reality... a good analogy is that we can only see the visible light spectrum, but light itself can take many different frequencies, and they are all happening at the same place and time but we just don't notice them. This is likewise true -- the astral/celestial realms are theoretically "here", but we don't perceive them, it's as if it's another dimension that we can't see, i.e. 5D.

The physical chakras roughly correlate with the actual chakras in the etheric and causal bodies, in 5D you could say. The physical reality is just the appearance of what really goes on in other realms -- the "eyes" and the "brain" actually don't see anything, it is consciousness itself that sees. An easy proof of this is that your sight stays with you when you are OOBE or astral projecting. The physical body and its chakras are just the effects of a greater spiritual reality.

So anyway, things are just the way they are, especially in the physical world. To answer your question, it's the other way around -- it's the physical body that has some sort of connection with the nonphysical bodies and world Seeking for answers here in the world of effects probably won't do too much good It's all we have to work with, but we can recognize its limitations and work around them with faith and personal experience.

That is originally what I came to believe. That the "locations" were simply a manifestation of "high
