Default counterclockwise

Yes I am working on cleaning my chakras too and they naturally spin counter-clockwise .. wonder why? or are we looking from the wrong side

I'm amazed how much this simple exercise makes a difference.
Hope you were referring to the cleaning process only. Do your chakras spin counter-clockwise even now?

I spin them counter clockwise too!

I spend a lot of time hooping though, and counterclockwise is my dominant direction, so I just figured that is why.

The direction of spin follows the right hand rule.

Image:Right hand rule.png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your thumb points to the direction the energy flows and the direction your fingers curl around indicates the direction the magnetic field spins.

So your right thumb will always point toward you (the current is flowing in) and the direction of spin is counter-clockwise because that's the direction your fingers curl.

Most people would say the root chakra is at the base of your spine. Some say it's in your feet. Look in both areas.

I've heard it said to look in the narrow area just behind your genitals, as well. That's pretty much the base of your spine, but it's a more specific sort of thing to concentrate on and it seems to work for some people.

Wow. I tried visualizing Chakras for the first time last night. I have used meditation for a long time but always thought the Chakra stuff was a bit silly, really just an aid for imagination and concentration.
What I am surprised about was the colors I came up with. Every description or illustration I have seen uses very basic colors, so thats what I was expecting and looking for. But what I saw when I looked were really vibrant expressive colors, like
not green, but emerald green.
I got so fascinated with the colors I was awake another hour watching instead of going to sleep in a few minutes.
It also made me wonder how color blind people manage.

Default how do you spin?

I have a question relating to Chakra spinning to those who have experience with it, and therefore relate experientially to them rather than jsut intellectual knowledge.

How do you spin it?
ie,
Do you spin it inside the body?
Do you spin it outside the body?
Or, do you combine both?

I have seen diagrams of chakras where it is like a vortex coming out of both sides of the body. As and example, if you were looking at the heart chakra, it looks like a spinning tube protruding out of the center of the chest and opens out like a trumpet, or to put another way what comes out of the chest or heart chakra is tornado like in shape. Behind the back is another tornado shape too. Some people mention fan blades though.

some people mention spining differently for males than females. There are also debates about directions which makes it confusing. So, i ask for experiential feedback rather than verbatim.

To recap;
  • So, how do you spin?
  • Also, what has worked for you most effectively in terms of building up a long time weak chakra, in an efficient manner? Say the Base chakra as an example, as that is one i am trying to build up and heal?

Thank you for your input

I think it must not matter completely how you spin them or in what direction since there appears to be multiple successful ways to do it. Here is what I do:

Imagine your spine is a pole, and your chakras are spinning around the pole with the spine being the sort of equator for the chakra.

I spin mine within my body for normal everyday use. But when I'm doing psychic work, I spin them out in a radius of 1-2 feet. And when I'm trying to connect with the time stream I spin them out really far, maybe 10 feet, until I feel like I'm pulsing with energy.

I've enjoyed reading this thread, and have been working on clearing my chakras for the past couple of days now. Thank you for the info!

Then today I was seeking links for friends, and happened upon this page, which has some really nice chakra images. This one is from the very bottom of the page and easy to miss:

This looks to me like a focus on the heart chakra.

Thumbs up My first real Chakra meditation...

Yesterday I had the perfect chakra cleansing meditation. For the first time I felt all my chakras open and I could feel the energy. When I opened the crown, I felt like someone was pulling me up not by my hair but just a force.......Has anyone had any experiences like this???

I also easily located my root chakra which is at the base of my spine. I could later feel like energy flowing in from top through other chakras.....The chakra with the least effect were my navel and sex chakra...every other centers were strong.

I asked questions to my higher self but did nor hear anything though.....I guess I need to practice more.

Default dangers of 'clearing' chakras?

Hi, Everyone.

I've heard a lot about how one has to be careful when dealing with chakras. What exactly are the dangers? I would appreciate any input & materials.

Thanks!

One consideration, though I wouldn't necessarily call it a danger, is to make sure your chakras aren't so wide open that you're attracting other people's emotional residue into yourself. Otherwise you may end up feeling angry or depressed for no real reason except that someone around you felt that way you and picked it up. Having chakras open too wide is like a magnet.

Default Why two colours for the heart chakra, when the others only have one?

When looking up information about chakras on the internet, it seem consistent for there to be a single colour and everyone agrees to this for the 6 of the 7 chakras. For the heart mostly green is asociated to it, but sometimes pink as well. Love seems to be attributed to both colours, although several other qualities as well for the green, So this is a little confusing.

I am thinking that perhaps the green to be the heart chakra in isolation, and the pink as the amalgamation of red (Base chakra) plus white (Crown), and the heart being the central point between the two. As any art student knows, mixing red with white, creates the colour pink. I am not a biblical person but the phrase Heaven and Earth comes to mind. If this is correct, then I wonder if the other charkas are also in use or influenced by this, and in what way. As in what happens to the quality of the chakra, when you use the colour from one of the chakras. I am just curious.

How does one differentiate the two in use?
Can any one confirm or provide additional insights about this?

Your input is appreciated

Default Chakras and Music

I remember a few months ago I heard from a friend of mine that the chakras are linked to notes which could explain theoretically why certain music makes us feel certain ways.
I did eventually find out but I can't find the website that said which notes follow what. I find the concept very interesting though.

Default Jaw, Temple & Back of the Head Chakras

Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone knew the location of the minor temple and jaw chakras and the back of the head chakra? I have this cleansing exercise for the eyes and it says to clean and energise those chakras but I am not quite sure where those chakras are located. I'd be very grateful if someone could describe the locations for me or maybe give me a link to a picture.

Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Anne
