Soul Ties

I have a question about soul ties. I'm currently in a situation where I have an ex that I'm still in love with. We may get back together in the future, we both understand that now is not the right time. However, in the meantime, I often find myself very anxious and worrisome. A friend suggested that I surrender this situation to the universe and stop trying to control it myself. She suggested that I have faith that what is best for me will happen. I felt very much at peace with this suggestion and decided I will do just that.

Next, she also suggested this...that I cut the soul tie I have with my ex. My question is this...if I cut my soul tie with my ex...isn't that permanent? I'd like to surrender this situation...but I DON'T want to put out the intention that I don't want to be with my ex. Can someone explain what happens when you cut a soul tie?

it cuts what the Hawaiins call the aka cord which is the connection with that person or the bond. I don't like to do that too often.

I was in a marriage where it my ex wanted to leave. I did not. I surrendered the situation rather than force my intentions on the relationship and it ended up I did not know he did me a favor and a much better relationship came my way of whom I am married too now.

If you are meant to be together it will happen. If it does not the universe may be bringing you something even better.
I know it is difficult to see that at the time when we are not letting go of one.

I dont' think you need to cut the soul tie. Just let it rest. As I think I've mentioned in a blog entry you can have really strong soul connections with people who are not your spouse. Gender doesn't matter either. Leave the soul connection as it is, concentrate on your own life, and let life unfold as it wants to.

I would like to suggest few things. 'Soul tie' as it is can get really complicated. There are many aspects attached to it. If it is a Godly soul tie, it is good for us. On the other hand , if it is something ungodly, soul tie can cause disastrous effects in our life. I am not telling this to discourage you. I am just asking you to be careful cause I have experienced it. Let me be frank - do not get physically connected with him dear before marriage. And, as far as possible be careful with your promises [ like I just cannot live without you or I can't love anyone more than you ']as it can influence you a lot. Give everything in the lord's hands. Pray to God, to show you the truth. God willing, if you guys are made for each other - great, congrats and God bless! On the contary, if is doesn't work that way [ you never know what's life got in store for us] and if at all you've got to get married to someone else, these soul ties can create havoc. Hence, if you're confused now, just be careful in your ways and speech! Give everything in God's hands and ask Him to guide you. And, if at things don't work the way it ougth to be, pray that all your ungodly soul ties[ knowingly or unknowingly] be cut off and God reveals the perfect plan for you.
