I agree about 'the universe' sending help when you need it. I want to make a living out of writing books, but it takes me well over a year to write even a rough draft. At that rate, assuming I don't have a future Harry Potter on my hands, I wouldn't be swimming in royalties and advance checks anytime soon. Also, I was frustrated, because once I have a story in my head, I want it out and on paper NOW. Could at least my rough draft be done faster and still... well, not suck too much? I wondered about this while aimlessly surfing the web, and somehow stumbled on this site: National Novel Writing Month.

Coïncidence? I don't believe so.

This is all well and good for those who know their purpose...but in the exercise in The Path to Purpose, I don't know the answer to the first two questions and the answer to the second two is "nothing" and "nothing."

Bliss, dig deeper. Sometimes there is a deep fear preventing you from admitting something to yourself. A lot of people automatically decide they don't want to do something simply because they think they can't.

Connect with your heart and ask it what it wants to express.

A fear, true. I'm a bit afraid to look into it at the moment, or if it would do any good at this time...I used to want things and I had plans, but things happen and change and turn upside-down and now...I mean, I sort of feel like I just fell out of a washing machine in the middle of the spin cycle.

The universe decided to help me speed up my writing some more My dad just called me to his computer: he has ran into a program that can learn you to type with ten fingers and asked if I wanted him to download it for me while he was at it. He thought I might be interested.

Seeing as I currently type with only my indexfingers, this should help my writing nicely.

I was thinking about what you wrote in your blog about my life's purpose and decided my purpose is to bring joy to everything I do and all I meet in my life. Even though somedays I don't like my job, I know I am in the right place for me since I have been able to help a few of the people I work with during sad times of their lives. My guides have been hinting that I am to write a book about life being about joy but I haven't really sat down to write it yet.

Would you believe I got Chinese food today for lunch (a very rare occurence)and my fortune cookie said "You will soon bring joy to someone!"

Silly guides! I get the message!

Hey Erin,

You (and Steve) seem to suggest that medium is malleable but you also mention that some people have an optimal medium.

I'm curious to know if you know a method to find your optimal medium?

Thank You.
