Effects of High Vibrations

Yesterday I read an article about a woman - the "hugging saint" - who hugs lots of people for hours on end without regular breaks. Her website states that she deeply meditated frequently during her childhood and that her 'religion' "is love and service."

Quotes from the article and her UK website caught my eye as being particularly Erin-esque:

Everything in this world has a vibration. Every emotion that you can think of has a vibration. Love is a very special, very uplifting vibration. That's what I'm trying to give people. It's like visiting a perfume factory. Consciously or unconsciously you will carry that fragrance around with you.

When Amma embraces people, it is not just physical contact that is taking place. The love Amma feels for all of creation flows towards each person who comes to her. That pure vibration of love purifies people, and this helps them in their inner awakening and spiritual growth.

I've been pondering three questions since reading the article and associated site. As Erin's the only super-high vibrational person I know how to contact (and get a direct reply from!), I'll raise those questions here:

[1] Like anti-oxidants taking care of free-radicals, does unconditional love mop up others' negativity?

[2] If so, where does that dark energy go?

[3] More fundamentally - if energy cannot be created/destroyed but can be transferred between entities and converted between types - do individuals with high vibrational states give some of their abundant high vibrational energy to others' at lower vibrations, or do they instead convert them to higher levels? (Or is there an third option?)

I think I would like this woman very much!

I sometimes cast love at total strangers who don't even know I'm doing it. Sometimes when you walk past homeless people or if you see people having a fit of anger like in a store, instead of judging them or feeling sorry for them or whatnot, cast them some love. Never pity. Never annoyance. Just love.

Yes, a high vibrational person can totally transform the energy in a room.

One of the first blog entries I wrote was about an incident where this happened.

I think lower vibrations just change to higher vibrations. I don't prefer to label them as dark and light. Too much can be read into that kind of term.

So I vote for convert.

OK - here is my take on it from learning Quantum Touch healing.


Principle of entrainment.
Apparently if two things are of similar vibration, they will entrain to each other. that is to say either the slower vibration will speed up, or the fast vibration will slow down, or they will meet somewhere in the middle.

When someone of a very high vibration hugs someone of a lower vibration, the lower vibrating person gets a lift when they start vibrating for a short while at that higher level.


I also don't believe in 'bad / dark' energy. It's just energy. It might get a bit stuck or stale if it doesn't get to move around, but it isn't 'bad' per se. In the same way air can feel a bit stale in a closed room, but it isn't bad / dark, you just need to open a window and get the air moving.


It's a fascinating subject and I can't wait for the day that we have instruments that can measure the subtle shifts in it to prove what is happening.

I've noticed that high vibrations can be generated from within, in a way. I'm not sure how to describe the feeling, but when I first was learning about energy, to my shame, I stole it from others. For example, I'd go to the gym, and in order to lift more weight than I could otherwise, I'd focus and suck the energy up from the around the room, in effect stealing it from those around me. This is vampirism, and it isn't necessary.

The truth is that there is sort kind of central chakra, right around the solar plexus, that one can pull energy from -- it seems to spontaneously generate, but I think it's coming from some internal/external source, as if one becomes "the center." This energy is given freely.

So if one wonders how to maintain a high vibration in a low vibration world, then that is your answer: intermingle the energy, and the low rises because it is drawn upward, and the high energy taps into the center, and becomes higher as well. Love, I think, will save the world.

I saw her about 4 years ago when she came into the Bay Area. It was wonderful! My friend had seen her before and had found her at a low point in his life and so he took me. We had to wait forever to get our hug, but it was amazing. She really does radiate love. My friend had a very profound experience with her the first time.

highly recommended!!! There are also usually other speakers, group meditations, and lots of fun stuff going on, and lots of food and merchandise, too. That makes it sounds cheesy saying there's "merchandise" but it's cool stuff. The whole thing was a like a fair.

I have received a hugg from Amma also about 5 years ago she came to Ann Arbor Mi.... Yes it was a lovely energy exchange very fasinating to watch the whole production in order to receive a embrace from her her name amma means mother BTW,,,,, anywoos just put in my 2 cents....Jane
