for most of my life I have been very intuitive, with occasional flashes of clairaudience, some clairsentience, and a lot of claircogizance. I used to be able to call on it at will, but for the past several years it seems to be going into hiding. For the past 8 years I have been chronically ill with hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia and migraines (which have plagued me since I was 17) and I am fairly certain there is a connection between my bad health and my psychic self. I have to take so many prescriptions designed to prevent my migraines, or to stop them, or to help me sleep, which prevents them in a roundabout way...that I wonder if I've drugged my psychic abilities into a permanent dormant state. Strangely, my empathic abilities are still intact, and I soak up other people's emotions readily, which I wish I didn't. Is there any way I can access my psychic abilities without having to accept daily headaches? Or is there something else blocking my abilities that I haven't considered?

| big hugs to you. I know what it is like to have a long term illness and yes medications can play havok with intuition! These things have helped me: 1. A raw vegan diet. Eating food in its natural state means that it has all its enzymes intact and is easier to digest. You don't have to go 100% (!) - just include lots more raw food in your diet. Unfortunately if it is in a bottle or a tin-can it is probably pasturaised and therefore many of the enzymes are denatured. There's tonnes of info on internet about it. Have a look at some kirlean photographs comparing raw and cooked food. I use Alissa Cohen's site a lot for info. I think Erin's said in her blog she was told to go vegan by her guides to raise her vibration. 2. Learning energy healing. Quantum-Touch: The Power to Heal has information about a healing technique you can use to raise your vibrational energy. It's easy to learn and quick to do. (It is great to do with friends as a healing share). 3. Erin's chakra clearing exercise. Erin Pavlina - Spiritual Wisdom for Conscious People » Blog Archive » Chakras Aalso I found that becoming reiki attuned helped me stop absorbing everyone's emotions. (I used to cry if I touched some people as I would be overwhelmed by all their pain - not good! and I found myself swept from one extreme to the other by other people's moods.) As well as the reiki, I have spent the last few years determined to heal my emotional issues and have used EFT and other energy techniques with a healer to get to the root of the problem. I'm sure other people will have lots of other ideas. They are the things that have helped me, so happy to answer any questions you might have about them.

Holistic Star was spot on with taking care of yourself physically. There's no bigger stoppage to the higher arts of intution than having a ruined body. This is not to say an injured body, but one that is currently being ruined by lack of care. Anything can be healed inside with proper care, proper care being eating well, exercising well and looking after your body as needed. As for the painkillers, they work purely by limiting your neurological receptors, which could, scientifically speaking, be the source of your psychicness. It's no wonder it has lessened. As for other blockages though they could be unconcealed beliefs. Is there a reason why you have these diseases? Do you believe you deserve them, or do you believe that you don't deserver them? There could be a victim mindset going on where it's either "I deserve this" or "Poor me!". The other place to look is if you believe at all that psychic ablities are bad, even if it's a memory projection from another person scoffing at you about it that you never really accepted. Memories sometimes haunt us, and any that we have that we could never get over become part of our beliefs and mental structures which lead to being a block on how we live our lives. Once you see some of the beliefs that could be stopping you then there is access to break them down, or just accept them. Anything you fully accept loses it's power and it's hold on you and quickly dissipates. Nothing more is needed besides looking for blocks, finding them, and accepting them. I hope this gives you a path to follow into getting past the blocks that may exist.

Read "Eat Right 4 Your Type", by Peter D'Adamo. Follow it to the letter. I was on the verge of being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and MS and was nearly killed by migraines from age 17 to 33 until I disovered this book. All of your illnesses are inflammation related. Auto immune. This diet directly addresses that. I feel that your health strongly affects your vibration level. Not necessarily an illness itself but how you FEEL about the illness. People who are chronically ill but have accepted it as part of their life can still vibrate highly. Like Steven Hawking. People who struggle with illness cannot achieve that level of vibration. One thing that strikes me is that I intuit that you seem to have developed an identity attached to your illness. You didn't say you do identify with them but I have never met anyone with that illness combo that doesn't "own" these illnesses, so to speak. Some even refer to them as "my" fibromyalgia is acting up today. "My" thyroid disease keeps me from having soft skin. (I am in the medical field and I see this all too often.) You create everytime you use these words. One thing that helped me beyond the diet above was to ignore my illnesses to the degree where I basically only acknowledged that I was a perfect healthy being. Young, healthy and vibrant. A mantra. If I feel pain, fatigue or age...I literally chant to myself while raising my vibration and smiling while breathing in pure energy: "I am young, healthy and vibrant. I have the energy of ten healthy people. I am getting younger everyday." Aches, pains, colds, headaches literally disappear. Jennifer

I can kind of see that. For years I've felt especially limited by the migraines. I have to watch what I eat or drink for fear of triggering one, and I have to avoid crowds because scents make me sick or trigger migraines. If I don't go to sleep and get up at basically the same time every day I run the risk of getting a headache as well. It's very limiting and frustrating. I feel like I live in fear of the next migraine especially. The tiredness I can live with, and even the fogginess and other symptoms, but I truly cannot function while throwing up or in severe pain with no end in sight. If I could just isolate one cause, or one particular medication even, it would help. I'll check out the books. Thanks, everyone. 8)

Mine was milk, fyi. I had RAST tests done and my lowest allergen was 5 with 4as the baseline. Onion was 7, shellfish were 16, soy 20 and dairy was 58. So as soon as the milk went, everything else calmed way down. Including my sensitivities to chemicals and cigarette smoke. Also, a couple things happened to me simultaneously: I quit the pill and moved 900 miles away. The pill, duh, states that migraines are an issue. Never knew that. Also I lived west of the NYC/Ohio pollution belt and very close to I-95 highway most of my life, and moved to a cleaner air zone. My migraines completely disappeared and I can even have dairy again, though I probably abuse it now. Jennifer

Soy is a huge trigger, I've recently learned, and it's hidden in so many things it isn't even funny. I've started making everything from scratch, which has helped some. The migraines are tapering way off, but my intuition is still not back to normal. I'm hitting a lot, but I still don't 'feel' it like I used to, so something is still 'off.' I'm hoping to talk to the doc about something different for sleep at my next appointment. From my research there doesn't seem to be a single good option for the sleep disorder, they all are either narcotics or antidepressants, or awful stuff like ambien, and they all have bad side effects.
