No I haven't read either, but a friend of mine keeps trying to get me to read Protecting the Gift.

You have a daughter, right? It has very practical information and advice on how a mother can teach her daughter to trust her intuition, and for both to recognize many of the ways that bad guys pick a victim (and how not to be the person he's likely to pick.) You're already an expert on intuition, and this book has some pretty enlightening and empowering stuff in it for helping your little girl to feel powerful that I think you would find helpful. Every woman, actually, but especially mothers.

Your blog post reminded me of it because Gavin de Becker, the author, writes about specifically why you get that prickly, hair-on-end, "unexplainable" feeling about someone who is creepy, how we've been socialized to argue it away, and how the bad guys take advantage of that "oh, it's probably just my imagination, he's probably harmless" thing we do to ourselves.

I love creepy stories, but I love stories about outwitting the creeps even more!

I love scary stories but that was creepy.

Now I felt like one of those teenage girls in a horror movie.

When I watch scenes like that I find myself yelling at the girls to get out! -or - Don't go in there!! Don't you hear that music? Something bad is fixin' to happen!!!

Interesting story, maybe it was something that could have happened to you if you didn't replace that flywheel and some "helpful" spirit was showing you this.

Hi Erin

I was a bit disappointed with the ending, it didn't have any twists. I would have much rather had something along the lines of:

"He was slowly coming straight at the car. His eyes were transfixed, but it's as if he was seeing through me rather than at me.

And then when he came up to the car, he opened the hood, pulled a flywheel from his thick jacket and replaced my old one in less than ten seconds. 'These youngsters... no clue whatsover... ' I heard him mumbling as he walked away.

So, I'm curious Erin... That was a while ago and probably before you had done much work in the Spirit Realm. Now that you've become a little more proficient at it, have you considered asking your Guides what that was all about?

It would be very interesting to hear their reply.

Mato, I asked my guides (thanks for the idea) and they told me he was a manifestation of fear energy related to the entire neighborhood actually. They explained that he was not like some demon walking around having a stroll, but simply the formation of an accumulation of negative/fear energy from people living in the area. They also tell me it/he wasn't after me specifically but that I did detect him and he was surprised I was consciously aware of him.

Glad I could be of service. But I have another question: Now that you have a different view of that incident, does it live for you any differently? And if so ,does it have an impact on your "now"?

It probably could if I let it, but I'm not that interested in revisioning the whole thing.
