| Funny thing about stress --- when you resist it and try to stop it, it tightens its grip on you like one of those little Chinese finger traps. When you accept it and allow yourself to feel it, it loses its power over you. Maybe you would like to tell us what shape this stress takes: are you tense because of physical need? or fear of being alone? or you want to get out of one? or or or....... The Law of Attraction people will tell you that thinking about getting rid of what you don't want just attracts more of it. I'd like to invite you to take a moment and feel your stress, tell us what it really is, and tell us what you would like to create for yourself. Are you up for that? By the way, welcome to the forum! I hope you have a wonderful time here. Love, Angela |

| Stress about relationships is just another general form of anxiety, which can be reduced through mindfulness meditation. For more information, read the abstracts of these studies: ScienceDirect - General Hospital Psychiatry : Three-year follow-up and clinical implications of a mindfulness meditation-based stress reduction intervention in the treatment of anxiety disorders*1 Alterations in Brain and Immune Function Produced by Mindfulness Meditation -- Davidson et al. 65 (4): 564 -- Psychosomatic Medicine |
