Default yes, I have!

and yes, I did benefit from it a lot! I warmly recommend it. Try it, it worked great with me

Here some advice based on my personal experience :
The biggest difficulty is to find the right affirmation. It has to be as precise and concrete as possible. (for example not " I am angry because people never listen to me" but "I am angry because on 13.march this year, my friend X did not listen to me." ) And carefully worded. Use words you would really use, not a "light" version of your problem. For example, do not say "I am angry because this guy called me a jerk" if you are in fact thinking "I'm so damn f****** angry cos this a**h*** of a son of a b**** called me a f****** jerk!" Use the second sentence then If you cannot clearly define the problem, begin with an emotional feeling or a physical sensation you have about it. (for example with the pressure on your stomach or the feeling to be lost) That will clarify your thoughts a lot and eventually lead to a precise definition of the problem (maybe in many steps). And don't forget to love yourself in your affirmation while you're touching the first point on your chest : "Even if <problem>, I love myself unconditionally and always stand by myself" (or some other nice things about yourself).

That's all, enjoy!

I've had no success with it so far, but your advice seems a little more helpful and straightforward than what I've read elsewhere... I'll deffo have a go doing it this way.

Default I love EFT

I love EFT. I had read about it and tried it at home, and found it useful, but the clincher was going to an EFT practitioner and having her help me with it. It really helps you process your emotions and get over long-standing fears and resistance.

It is truly powerful. It is a great shortcut to getting rid of fears or anxieties. It can even work on some physical ailments. I'd have to rate it about equal to eating a healthy diet. Your emotional body is just as important as your physical body. Never forget that.

Default help with EFT?

Hi,

I have been trying to use EFT for about 1½ weeks now. Despite the fact that I apparently have not been doing it right, it feels like it has been helping me.

I really need some help forming affirmations. The idea of pinpointing and only focusing on one miniscule moment in time out of 39 years of sh*t really seems impractical and absolutely futile, and it's compounded by the fact that I don't even remember that much, what I do have to work with are like big clouds of emotion and hardly any pinpointable moments. And as I have not used any one moment in my affirmations, I don't understand why it feels like it has been helping me.

If anyone knows how and will help me find useful affirmations, please send me a private message.

Much thanks.

P.S. Please don't mention getting an EFT coach or practitioner--I'm living in a "developing country".

Yes that worked wonders for me. I've also done TFT same thing but no need to use affirmations, as you just think about the problem. This has given me that same good results and is much easier for me as I don't get mixed up with what I'm saying.

Try this for any relationship problems http://silviahartmann.com/eft-articl...ships-help.php

The problem with me is just that I need to make the time to do it. Sometimes I just can't be bothered, even knowing that it does help.

So I will try and stick it out every single day for 30 days on one problem area.

Bitsy : You need some timed, precise affirmations if the general stuff isn't working. If it's already working for you, then everything's fine! Don't worry about that. As they say on EFT Therapy, "EFT is extremely forgiving and you would have to try very hard to get it so wrong that you don't get a result." You might want to check this site, they have a nice tutorial for beginners, very well explained, some more advanced tips and even videos.

I am not a professional, but I think it's ok if you work on those big clouds of emotion at the beginning. Just try to describe the emotion you want to work on as precisely as possible : where it is located in/around your body, how you feel, and so on. For example, "Even if I have this monstrous anger and pressure on my solar plexus, ..."

You can address the problem that you cannot be precise too : "Even if I have this monstrous anger and pressure on my solar plexus and don't even know why, ..." or "Even if I am feeling sad again and cannot remember what makes me sad, ..."

I would suggest you first begin with what you told us in your post. Just work on every thought you have, especially if it's negative Here are a few suggestions : "Even if I don't remember much of my past, ..." , "Even if I feel only big clouds of emotion overwhelming me without knowing why, ...", "Even if my life has been totally crappy till today, ..." You could work on your doubts too "Even if I don't understand why EFT seems to help me, as I don't do it correctly, ..." , or on the fact that you don't know where to begin "Even if I have no clue about what to work on first, ..." and then listen to what your intuition tells you. After a few sequences, the next steps, the next affirmations will drop into your mind by themselves. Trust yourself

If you still have difficulties, pm me. I am not a professional as I said, but maybe I can help you?

good luck!

EFT for me is a real blessing, it cured me of many past traumas and i feel released to grow as a person, the bigest thing it helped me is to get rid of my social phobia.

Now i try to spread the word about it since it can help so many people, i taught it to my father, my mother wich also was benefited by relieving her stress, my brother tried it the other day when he was going on a job interview and he was nervous, EFT got rid of his nervousness and he was calm for the entire day, i think this probes that EFT is an awesome tool for everyone, not just people with deep problems.

One thing to have in mind when doing EFT is that it easy to begin with past traumas because they are the ones that most pain caused us and they are hard to forget, but once you get rid of those it becomes harder to hunt for memories or limiting beliefs that are just a little below the surface of your sub-concious, so you must apply concious effort and time to dedicate to this intro-spection to hunt for things to cure in your mind.
Also, a specific problem may be linked with many past traumas or limiting beliefs, so you must get rid of all of those to notice a change.

Try TAT too, http://www.tatlife.com/free/HowToDoT...et-TATLife.pdf

Default Yes, for most things...

I've been using EFT *seriously* again for a few weeks now, and it really has helped with things like motivation ("Even though I don't know what to write about, I deeply and completely accept myself.") and emotional dispersement ("Even though I want to rip that guy's head off for what he said to me, I deeply and completely love and forgive myself.") I'm also using it to combat my cigarette addiction - while it will kill off a craving if I do the tapping, the desire to do the tapping isn't always there, so I figure there are some deeper things about just not wanting to quit yet. I'm currently doing tapping on the desire to quit.

There's a documentary on it coming out called "Try it on Everything" that I found really interesting - Try It On Everything - Emotional Freedom with EFT

EFT is a God-send to me.

If anything else has not worked too well, I have always found that EFT provides that emotional support, a form of insurance in ensuring that I will not allow my negative feelings to cripple me into inaction because of some undesirable feedback that I had gotten from my efforts.

I don't wake up with a runny nose anymore thanks to EFT. My nose is sensitive and I consistently wake up with a runny nose before EFT. But now it has changed.

I am more in control of my (sometimes) irrational anger in reaction to some irritating or annoying circumstances.

I no longer cripple myself with indecision, depression and inaction whenever a certain course of action towards a goal of mine yields little results. I just move on to another method, another way, another path towards the same goal. And with a little tapping, I usually find a new, better idea almost instantly.

Hey, I love EFT so much I teach it to anyone who doesn't run away quickly enough. EFT has completely changed my life.

I was in a job I hated, had not had a successful relationship EVER, and was full of fears, physical ailments and pain. Now I'm happily married, and well, and optimistic for the first time since I was a child.

I find the best way to start for most people is to pinpoint the most unpleasant episodes of your life and tap on those until they no longer bother you AT ALL. Focus on each one individually and stay focussed on it til its gone. You will be tempted to move onto another, but stay there until there's NO emotional zing at all. Take notes through these episodes and keep notes about other thoughts as they come up. You can tap on those once you've finished the first one.

Do a bit each day and you'll be so much more relaxed and happy each day.

Once the initial flurry of success is over, it can be hard to stay motivated. But stay there. Anything that bothers you is a good thing to tap on.

I tap on anything that irritates me or saddens me or whatever. They are all the tips of icebergs. Any negative emotions are a hint of a blockage in energy, and tapping releases the blockage so the energy can freely move through us again. Physical ailments disappear and you'll be happier and calmer all the time.

Much joy to you
Hazel

It's been mentioned on the forum before, but checkout Tapping.com - Free EFT Videos - Emotional Freedom Technique first if you're interested in learning EFT. No need to sift through sales pitches and incomplete info, just watch the video on the main page.
