Default Attitude

What is Attitude?

I am truly interested in what the heck this is. It seems like it has tremendous power---- if used properly.

And, how is attitude effected, changed, used?

I have always thought that there was a lot of mastery in Attitude.

Hi, Senin. Could you specify what you mean?
Do you mean how to shape your attitude to live more graciously, get what you want, think positively, what?

You're not far off on this!

Our attitude is we how choose to perceive events and circumstances or our perspective on them. Throughout history sages and philosophers have pointed out that it's not what happens to us that counts, but how we choose to perceive it.

As you can imagine that's easier said than done, therefore as you say, there is mastery involved. We have to learn to cultivate a productive and positive attitude towards life in order to live well and enjoy everything it has to offer.

We are in charge of our thoughts so we can choose our attitude.

I guess attitude means, where your mind is. Circumstances can be bad or good, but it is your attitude that determines how you interpret them, to yourself. Is attitude the most important attribute to Self Mastery?

I would say that it is because your attitude determines how you experience everything. There are however, many components that go into cultivating your attitude so that makes them important as well e.g. how you view yourself.

I think that there are many kinds of attitudes, but they all spring from the character and personality of the person. (Attitude come from Acting, Action, i belive... im really not sure, but it seems like it).

I think the best is to cultivate a healthy personality and thus youll have a great attitude towards everything/every area/any circumstance in life.

Attitude is a tool that you have to help you shape the universe.

Like any tool you have to practice to use it properly and there are always new tricks you can learn. Once you have mastered attitude you can create a very beautiful world.

Here is a good excersize as an example: Some days I spend time trying to find a thing in nature which resembles a man made object I see.

The computer looks like a strait black rock.

The keyboard looks like black coals left after a fire.

This is a tough excersize, but I find that it takes me out of a mode of boredom and apathy, and into one of amusement and interest. It is a new way to use my attitude, and I love it, as I press my fingers against all these coals.
