| Are there any coping strategies, that help when you just about out-and-out with emotional and psychological pressures? Are there any skills or strategies that are very effective, in such a competitve environment, where people will strip away every last bit of you, social relations, self-confidence, work efforts, character, reputation, gossip, slander, to get the job? leaving you completely drained of all emotional and psychological strength to fight and defend your name and the truth, completely mentally burned out? | Well, I've gone through 3 massive personal traumas in my life - one at age 5, one at age 16, and another just 4 months ago. Suffice to say, I'm pretty f*ed in the head. The first time, I was too young and my parents never thought to get me therapy. My saving grace: children are pretty resilient. Second time (age 16) - I tried traditional talk therapy, as well as reading lots of self-help and personal development books. They definitely helped. And since then, I've been very deep into PD. This last time, was the mother of all trauma. It was not only, in itself, a horrible event, but also opened the closet door and exposed all the other skeletons. I would say that 70% of my healing process is thanks to EFT (done with a experienced practitioner). I cannot recommend EFT enough, especially as I've done with very talented professionals who were able to guide and support me. I find that EFT has been my secret weapon. |
