I think there's a tendency in this society to overly diagnose people. People are constantly thinking there's something wrong with them and that they need to be fixed. Avoidant Personality Disorder might just be not liking people or wanting to do your own thing. Sex addiction might be being lascivious.

Thank for the sight. I think it might be useful to me. I not sure a label of mental illness is useful but there are so many unanswered questions I thing some of my problems may be organic and I don't think steve's forums is the right place for me beside its going to be gone in a couple of days.

Totally agree! When I realized that, FINALLY I could accept me as I am, love me as I am and love others as they are. I saw that all of us are travelling from ignorance to intelligence, from darkness to light, from misery to joy, just at different speeds.

Some are moving so slowly that they will die before they ever got a chance to live.

For me it took 44 years to wake up to society. For others longer and some shorter, and like I said, and for most not at all because their growth was too slow. My growth skyrocketed starting 2.5 years ago.

Default Good-bye All

Poked my head in to say Merry Christmas and I see Steve's closing shop. Ah well nothing last forever. I see a few have posted other forms so I hope to see some or all of you somewhere out there in cyber space. I learned a lot and shared what little I know, so it's been a win, win. Thanks Steve and group. Have a great New Year!
