Default Learning something - a game

I've just recently started a new job, although the people are on the whole quite nice, I admit I am struggling with the job role itself. At the moment the job at hand just 'don't fit' with what I can do (maybe it will change, maybe It will click). I obviously made a choice in taking on the job, and now I am realising that it is too big for what you can do. But that's ok, in the past I would of been all 'I am such a failure, why do always take on the wrong job' ( I still have that a little in me, but I am trying to stop that belief. I also have a feeling it keeps happening to me, because I am meant to tackle things, that I don't tackle.). However, I am shifting perspective a little bit now, I see all these obstacles as a game, and at least for me to take something away from it. I mean if I am going to 'fail', why not take a risk while you're at it and tackle a fear while you are at it?

So one of things I am trying to embrace is being more expressive and voice my opinions at work, I am also bracing myself to stand up to a co-worker (and maybe, just maybe that person will reflect on their attitude...I think they have the ability to do that), because I think this will help me with some blockages to do with fear of standing up to myself.

I am seeing this whole experience as opportunity to grow, even if I fail. So if you feel like your failing at something, why not just go with it, and tackle something about yourself while your at it...I mean what do you have to lose? I mean you might as well go out with a bang!

One last thing...it's interesting to observe, how projecting your opinions and just being yourself, actually gains the respect of other people, even if you haven't said anything momentous at all
