for years I have fought many demons but most recently I have denied the fact that I have just turned 50

yes the number 5 0

It's funny because I remember when I was 16 I looked over at my mom who was 37 at the time and thought wow she is old !!!!!!!!

now I can only dream about 37

anyway there it is
I am 50
and that is me in the picture

But best of all I am going to be a Grandma next year

I cannot say this on Facebook yet because my son and his wife wanted to wait until their first MD visit and then they will announce it

thanks guys -you guys just don't know the trepidation I felt when I was thinking about doing this -esp. the part about posting a recent picture
why ? I guess because you just don't feel any different on the inside -except more mature-but you definitely change on the outside

and yes, beingist I was a mis-giver of the truth when it came to my age

but not anymore
