Default What is a darkworker?

The name seems to be evil but I don't think it is.

I only knew about this in this forum and can anyone explain to me what darkworker really is?

Yes I always wondered this. It always made me think they just use the darkside of the force or something like that. I am not sure... but it seems like it to me.
It's very interesting either way.

It's about time someone took the time to define these terms.

Well, the darkworker 'official' site defines darkworker with wall of text that is not that good to my eyes....

If anyone can give me a short and sweet definition of darkworker, I will give a virtual candy.

A darkworker is someone:
- who loves self;
- who puts self as the center of the universe;
- whose thoughts and actions are driven by self-interest;
- who believes having divine power within and strives towards releasing its full potential.

Now give me a virtual candy!! If you happen dont have one a BJ will suffice.

Anything "dark" is absence of light, love in this case.
Flavor of darkness (just like the label you put on it) is irrelevant - it's all consequence of non-love and resistance.
Good subject for a movie, not much beyond that.

I don't see how that is different from a lightworker, though :P

A darkworker is anyone who channels energy to the self in all of his activities, especially in relation to human beings.

Examples of activities that channel energy inwards:

Reading (for self-understanding)
Eating (for one's gustatory pleasure)
Buying (for your own use)
Asking (for something from someone)
Competing to win (individual competitions)

A lightworker is anyone who channels energy to others in all of his activities, especially in relation to human beings.

Examples of activities that channel energy outwards:

Writing (for others to read)
Buying something for someone
Caring for someone who is sick
Making podcasts and videos for others to benefit from

The idea of dark/lightworking begins from the premise that we all come from the same source. Steve calls this the One Consciousness. Therefore, dark/lightworking is not right or wrong, because it benefits the same source, like so:

Source A -> Source A
Source A <- Source A

...where the direction determines the direction of the channeled energy.

People who do both darkworking and lightworking activities are simply non-differentiated, i.e. non-polarized.

I don't know why but can we really define darkworkers as introvert or lightworkers as extrovert?

Btw, who created the terms of darkworker anyway?

Scientifically, no.

An introvert gains energy from being with the self and expands energy when being with others. An extravert gains energy from being with others, and expands energy when being with the self.

This doesn't mean that an introvert will necessarily channel all available energy to himself, or that an extrovert will channel all available energy to others.

Dark/lightworking is what you do. Intro/Extravert is who you are.

I'm a lightworker introvert living with a darkworker extrovert. So, no, not by the definitions I use anyway. (I think of them more as working concepts to ponder, use to focus energy, consider in the context of history, etc, while my lovey has a bit more experience diving into his path.)

Introvert and extrovert are more clearly defined and refer to an aspect of one's psychology that is compatible with either path.

I'm not exactly sure but it arose as a corollary to "lightworker" circulating around the internet. It was then picked up by some and used to refer to a modern expression of the left-hand path, because it seemed it was being used that way anyway, just one-sidedly.

If Asmoday's article (the one supertom posted) is too long for you than you don't care enough to learn. It's one of those cases where there's not a simple definition, and people have put stuff out there defining it; if you refuse to read it, don't blame them.

Maybe you're right. I have violated my principles of being curious and I have denied my learning spirit. Thanks for the advice.

It is not that I don't want to read the definition but it is just that sometimes I have this tendency to avoid reading a wall of text because of FEAR to information overload.

After I had finished my other readings and work, I will make sure to read the definition of dark worker.

And thanks everyone for defining and differentiating between darkworker and the likes of extrovert etc.

-Darkworkers usually have fear-based guides, if you take it far enough.

-Anyone who has a red lightsaber, even if it's just a toy. (jk) =)

I loled.

Sounds pretty vague to me being that I'd have to say I am sometimes a "darkworker" and other times not.
