I noticed that I get a lot of benefit from posting in the "Today I feel grateful for..." thread in the Intention-Manifestation forum section. In fact, today, after a week of being in a funk I just could not get myself out of, I posted in that thread again and I think I have bounced back again. I have been focusing on two areas of my life - relationship and new business. I made very good progress in the relationship area over the summer and there is still more to go. The business part is still lacking... So since I still have a ways to go in both of these areas, after this morning I decided I would try out a 30-day trial of coming on here and writing things I feel grateful for, because it really feels like a good way to start the day. And I need the accountability that I hope I can obtain from posting in public. Although these are intention-manifestation issues, for me, this is a question of emotional mastery and maintaining a good feeling and positive outlook, because I have difficulty keeping my spirits up all the time. I will see if this will bring progress in manifesting in either of these areas - this is what I'm hoping. In addition to gratitude, I am also going to start each day with a visualization which kind of unites both of these areas of my life. After that visualization, hopefully I'll write a list of things on here I feel grateful for and I will start each day like that for 30 days. Today was the first day. I did the visualization already and I listed the things I feel grateful for in the thread here Today I am grateful for.... I welcome anyone who wants to keep me company on this month-long trial. Just post the things you are grateful for every day. |

I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes it can be difficult to remain positive when situations in life seem to be going slow or not moving at all. I've found that whenever I do a 30 Day Gratitude project, I attract lots of resources and help. I use a free journaling software to write in my gratitude journal. You can find the free journal here: https://penzu.com/home During the day when I'm working, I often review a 3x5 card that list 5 things I'm grateful for. They are as follows: 1. Warm, clean, and safe place to live in a nice neighborhood 2. Excellent health 3. Knowing that no matter what, I'm going to be safe in life 4. Love from my family and friends 5. The ability to serve people across various mediums These five things remind me that even if I lost all my money, home, all my family members died, and if I lost my health...I'd still make it. I know that no matter what, I'm "safe" in life. As long as I'm alive, I can find a way to thrive. What are the things you're most grateful for? And what type of business are you trying to get off the ground? I have a lot of free resources to help deal with lack of time, fear of having bad ideas, and discomfort with selling. Click on here for more information. Hope it can help you. Peace, Alex PS: I'm now thankful for the new Coldplay album I just got 10 minutes ago! Last edited by alexb5784; 11-02-2011 at 01:54 PM. I'm starting an English language services business, so far just translation. Lack of time is my last problem - I have too much time, because I have too little work and that's the problem. And, yes, it is difficult to have the presence of mind to look for things to be grateful for when you're in the thick of stuff--and then stay there too. After 30 days, you are supposed to have formed something into a habit, but...I think I have tried something like this before and it didn't become a habit lol.

I have came to the same conclusion. Gratitude brings more into your life. Being happy with what you have, makes you more productive and thus you get even more. Do you have any special systematical approach to doing this trial? Do you write things down or do you just do it in your head?

Anyway, I won't do it in my head, because I want to really get into it, as when I do, I just come up with all kinds of new things I never would have thought of and I end up feeling really special and blessed. I want to simulate the experience I get when I write lists in the thread I linked in the first post, because I noticed how good I feel after posting in that thread. I'm not sure if I will post the gratitude lists on here or in a Word document - or both.

Hi! I've decided to write my list every day on this thread: Today I am grateful for.... That way we keep them all in the same thread. I'm also counting down the days there, so you can join me there Hey, I also recommending reading through that thread after you make your list, because the more you read there, the better you feel - at least it had that effect on me. Living in gratitude is the only way I feel happy everyday! My husband recently left me and my two kids because he said he just wasn't happy anymore! If he only new he had so much to be happy about....he would be happy! lol Many people (including my husband) think that happiness comes from material things and things we can put a price tag on! I have learned that happiness is a easy as having a thought or memory that brings warmth to your heart! Living in Attitude Gratitude helps me to achieve this feeling! Some days I feel overwhelmed, stressed out, sad and confused and I have to stop the thoughts entering my mind and just say one thing I am grateful for and my mood instantly shifts! Gratitude is an incredible thing! It can be something as simple as having the eyes to read this post! In fact I just wrote a blog post that was inspired by a chain mail I received.... 44 things to be grateful for | Learn to Be Happy and Transform Your Life |
