Default 30-day Gratitude Trial

I noticed that I get a lot of benefit from posting in the "Today I feel grateful for..." thread in the Intention-Manifestation forum section. In fact, today, after a week of being in a funk I just could not get myself out of, I posted in that thread again and I think I have bounced back again.

I have been focusing on two areas of my life - relationship and new business. I made very good progress in the relationship area over the summer and there is still more to go. The business part is still lacking...

So since I still have a ways to go in both of these areas, after this morning I decided I would try out a 30-day trial of coming on here and writing things I feel grateful for, because it really feels like a good way to start the day. And I need the accountability that I hope I can obtain from posting in public.

Although these are intention-manifestation issues, for me, this is a question of emotional mastery and maintaining a good feeling and positive outlook, because I have difficulty keeping my spirits up all the time. I will see if this will bring progress in manifesting in either of these areas - this is what I'm hoping.

In addition to gratitude, I am also going to start each day with a visualization which kind of unites both of these areas of my life. After that visualization, hopefully I'll write a list of things on here I feel grateful for and I will start each day like that for 30 days.

Today was the first day. I did the visualization already and I listed the things I feel grateful for in the thread here Today I am grateful for....

I welcome anyone who wants to keep me company on this month-long trial. Just post the things you are grateful for every day.

Thumbs up Gratitude is Great

I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes it can be difficult to remain positive when situations in life seem to be going slow or not moving at all.

I've found that whenever I do a 30 Day Gratitude project, I attract lots of resources and help. I use a free journaling software to write in my gratitude journal. You can find the free journal here: https://penzu.com/home

During the day when I'm working, I often review a 3x5 card that list 5 things I'm grateful for. They are as follows:

1. Warm, clean, and safe place to live in a nice neighborhood
2. Excellent health
3. Knowing that no matter what, I'm going to be safe in life
4. Love from my family and friends
5. The ability to serve people across various mediums

These five things remind me that even if I lost all my money, home, all my family members died, and if I lost my health...I'd still make it. I know that no matter what, I'm "safe" in life. As long as I'm alive, I can find a way to thrive.

What are the things you're most grateful for? And what type of business are you trying to get off the ground? I have a lot of free resources to help deal with lack of time, fear of having bad ideas, and discomfort with selling. Click on here for more information. Hope it can help you.

Peace,

Alex

PS: I'm now thankful for the new Coldplay album I just got 10 minutes ago!

Well, I am now most grateful for how the LoA has been working for me in my relationship - finally! I'm most grateful for that whole relationship and that I managed to repair everything in my relationship by deliberately trying to use the LoA. Actually, some unbelievable things have happened because of that and I'm still really...really...impressed by my results.

I'm starting an English language services business, so far just translation. Lack of time is my last problem - I have too much time, because I have too little work and that's the problem.

And, yes, it is difficult to have the presence of mind to look for things to be grateful for when you're in the thick of stuff--and then stay there too. After 30 days, you are supposed to have formed something into a habit, but...I think I have tried something like this before and it didn't become a habit lol.

Hello Bliss Sage,

I have came to the same conclusion. Gratitude brings more into your life. Being happy with what you have, makes you more productive and thus you get even more.

Do you have any special systematical approach to doing this trial? Do you write things down or do you just do it in your head?

Unfortunately, I'm not a very systematic person, I'm kind of a "whim" person, which is a disadvantage, because it's an extra effort to stick to any kind of consistent routine.

Anyway, I won't do it in my head, because I want to really get into it, as when I do, I just come up with all kinds of new things I never would have thought of and I end up feeling really special and blessed.

I want to simulate the experience I get when I write lists in the thread I linked in the first post, because I noticed how good I feel after posting in that thread. I'm not sure if I will post the gratitude lists on here or in a Word document - or both.

Okay, here are some things that have happened recently that I'm grateful for:
  1. Finally coming across Steve's blog entries about learning music for fun. Right now I'm learning French for fun, so it was an apropos thing for me to read.
  2. Finding Agota's thread about what Lithuania is really like, because I loved reading her stories about her country.
  3. Finding lots of great threads about language-learning, and learning French in particular, on this forum.
  4. The fact that I've been feeling very "in the zone" lately with regard to approaching relationships from an intuitive place as opposed to a cerebral place.
  5. Waking up this morning to the sight of woodpeckers in the trees outside my window, since I'm into animal symbolism and to me they represent marching to the beat of your own drum, which is the topic I'd been thinking about as I fell asleep the night before.
  6. Having the opportunity to play the French-language version of Final Fantasy IV, which has been helping me stay motivated to read something in that language every day.
  7. Getting to take a walk with my mom this afternoon, since we haven't really had the chance to go walking together for a few weeks.
  8. Bliss Sage asking me to collaborate with her on the topic of gratitude.

Hi!

I've decided to write my list every day on this thread:

Today I am grateful for....

That way we keep them all in the same thread. I'm also counting down the days there, so you can join me there

Hey, I also recommending reading through that thread after you make your list, because the more you read there, the better you feel - at least it had that effect on me.

Default Gratitude makes you happy!

Living in gratitude is the only way I feel happy everyday!

My husband recently left me and my two kids because he said he just wasn't happy anymore! If he only new he had so much to be happy about....he would be happy! lol

Many people (including my husband) think that happiness comes from material things and things we can put a price tag on! I have learned that happiness is a easy as having a thought or memory that brings warmth to your heart! Living in Attitude Gratitude helps me to achieve this feeling!

Some days I feel overwhelmed, stressed out, sad and confused and I have to stop the thoughts entering my mind and just say one thing I am grateful for and my mood instantly shifts!

Gratitude is an incredible thing! It can be something as simple as having the eyes to read this post!

In fact I just wrote a blog post that was inspired by a chain mail I received....
