Hello members of the forum, I am new here. I had found this website serendipitously while Googling for emotional help. Yes, indeed, I am very emotional right now, very impassioned. I wish I could get your advices here and make me decide where to go next in this undulating, bumpy road. I failed my Physics exam. This is the first time, frankly, that I had ever failed an exam. I couldn't tolerate my stupidity. I couldn't believe that I am so stupid, so incompetent. I don't have the leverage to change my marks though, and that damned marks came to me like a pin in the heart, making me so sorrowful, so disappointed! I even tore the exam paper in shreds! What could I do? I really detest myself! This is unexpected. How unlucky I am! Failures make me lose courage and confidence, and I, being under the par, feel it difficult to score an A the next time. I am so sorrowful... |

Hi and welcome. If you never failed an exam before than you are definitely not stupid and much smarter than most people. It's possible, you were unprepared, didn't understand the material, didn't like the material, or maybe distracted with other issues going on in your life. Are you a college student or in HS? Maybe the way in which you passed your exams in your previous schooling has now changed because of the new environment. Maybe you are just ready for a change in your life. I know for me personally when I am tired of something, that I have done well at in the past, I start making lots of errors. These are just a few things you could look at. Also since you are new here, I would definitely recommend reading some of the blogs. There is an abundance of very good stuff to learn. At any rate as someone who has never failed an exam, you definitely have an advantage to do very well at whatever you choose but even the smartest people fail at times. |

Sorry to say I failed my maths and literature in high school, failed my biology and economics and english in college but still got straight A's in my college final exams to get into a good university.. What's important is the final exam.. Not the exam |
