| For me, I think it was when I was in 8th grade and I don't remember why I put my head under my raised desk lid, but I thought to myself, "there's a reason for everything and I'm going to find out that reason". To me that is the same question as "who am I?"

All the time, but especially now. I had a lot of losses and changes all in the last 6 months. Everything that I always was is now gone and I'm stuck with all this time on my hands. It's been REALLY weird. These losses were a good thing, but still a loss. But it's very strange, you feel like a newborn or something. |

For me, is started with my name. I realized people knew me as "Amber", when I knew myself as "me". It was a weird moment. I then decided to try and figure out who was Amber, and who was Me? I was twelve, but I still like to ponder the concept |

Interesting... I remember I was 6, I was walking, and saw a cat. And suddenly I thought: "The cat is different from me, I am different from it. The cat feels differently about the world as compared to me. I feel differently as compared to it. Me and this cat are different creatures. It cannot feel like me, I cannot feel like it". |

I was watching "Anger Management," and Jack Nicholson's character was asking Adam Sandler's "Who are you?", and discounting the answer when he replied with his name or occupation or relationships. It got me thinking about what I would say to answer the question, and I realized that I couldn't do it.

When I was very young and I got punished. I often, after crying, lost my soul . During that period of time I keep reminding myself what my name is and what am I doing in this world . It was kinda weird for a kid to be doing that . I suppose when the soul is young its as though not long ago it had undergone rebirth and is fragile

| In my experience, I don't really ask, anymore, because I'm all too aware that such a question can't be answered. Rather, I simply put attention into that abyss that I asked in the first place. Then, the question of "who am I?" (which, in my case, is really more like "what am I?") is in answered demonstrably--what I am is expressed on a case-by-case, moment-by-moment basis.
