Default I think I have all the answers.

I think I have all the answers to lead a happy life. I'm just in the process of applying them at the moment, but feel like I'll soon be at peace.

This site is so pushy with that message that comes up if you don't post for a few weeks. I don't really have anything to say.

I don't think it's easy to REALLY help someone because I think the real answers to how to be happy are things that most people don't want to hear.

By saying it, I may even be turning people off to it.

Anyway, I am posting because of the message at the top of the screen.

It compels me.

I think I have the answers and I think no one will listen. My only reasons now are silly ones.

First, nice! Figuring out how to make your life awesome is a seriously good feeling.

That said, I think the real answers to be happy differ from person to person. Unless you know someone really well, it's not easy to figure out if they're rejecting what feels untrue to them because they aren't willing to face the music or if it's simply not a match for their values or desires.

When dealing with people I don't know all that well, I try to get them to ask their own questions and come up with their own answers instead of just throwing my solutions at them. I'm always willing to talk about the way I handle things, but I present it as one option among many instead of the "right answer."

If I'm talking with someone I know really, really well, then I'm more willing to say "I think you should definitely do X." X is very rarely exactly the same thing I would do in that situation, though, because I know that just because something works perfectly for me doesn't mean it will work perfectly for anyone else.
