Default Work inner conflict

The inner conflict I have, not with a job but with working in general, is that I experience alot of inner conflict from that responsibility. I am not driven completely by money but it is an intellectual knowing that I need to have it to have a comfortable lifestyle. I would probably be happier working for free than working for money because I would know that it is MY choice to. Maybe I just feel confined. Any advice?

Default Feel the same way

Hi
I have always felt the same way and wondered if I was the only one. I easily feel trapped and like my life isn't my own any more. Which is cracy because almost everybody has to work to make a living. Why should it be diffrent for me? And it's not that I'm lazy. I love making my self usefull and doing things for others. I to would rader work for no mony to know that I work because I want to. Maby we are ment to start our own projects instead of working for others.

/Nettie

I am so glad there is someone else! I do want to run a business in the future. I am getting my degree in business, but it is not something I want to focus my full attention on right now. Other areas of my life interest me as well, which happens to be areas that doesn't even trying to make money lol, such as relationships and hobbies.

I got employed at a company in the spring time and as I was trying to put my time into those other areas of my life after working there for awhile, I started to have serious work issues. Like one of my supervisors who would just not let up on me over really no reason at all. So I came to a point to look for a new job, which I just recently now have. It's like every time I try to balance those other areas I keep having to think about work more than necessary.

I heard that up to 80% of the working population might actually feel a bit like you do. You simply haven't found a job that you are passionate about. You are just there right now for the money, which of course, we all need.

One of the success end goals is to get into a field that you are actually passionate about and can earn enough to make a living. It's not entirely impossible as many people out there are doing it.

One thing that has helped with those feelings alittle bit is thinking about my next goal. Since this is a new job I am waiting for awhile so I can get stable in this job or decide to leave if it is not right for me. I have goals that I want to achieve after I get some financial stability, so I just keep remembering those future things I want to do.
