I have a very scattered mind. This results in many different "Hobbies" and a very open mind. I have created many personal theories which may just be a mental invention "for lack of a better phrase" I have always wondered peoples opinions on this. I want your full understanding so i will explain as short and sweet as possible to see what your opinions may be. Frequent changes of interest constantly. I worked construction then moved 1800miles to attend a Motorcycle Mechanics Training School. I make custom rc cars, played a "pirates of the burning sea" then "Civilization 5" then "Starcraft 2" then "Farming simulator" Then sometimes i get random urges of creativity so i did graphic design and business identity for awhile. I have for several years bounced in and out of 3d modeling, Game logic, Game Creation and planning, and other creative outlets that require mass ammounts of attention and time. I have spent hours drawing then bounce into writing an article. Currently im stuck between playing a video game, writing this thread, youtubing, drawing, studies, or going to sleep. I also have insomnia extremely bad i sleep maybe 20 hours a week. lol i feel great and im happy just have so many different interests pulling me away from one before i can indulge in it only to be doing something new again. I constantly have thousands of ideas running through my head a second its quite awesome especially when writing or in a debate. Does anybody have similar experiences? Does anybody have any advice or criticism? Maybe you have some ideas of creative activities that are recycled items or low budget. I enjoy creating machines and art from stuff that would otherwise be thrown to waste such as remote controlled trucks... you would never know what its made of until the lid is removed they drive perfect and if it breaks u have more cheap junk to fix it with. -Thanks for reading and please toss me your opinions and experiences.... -JoshDeMott |

Have you heard of Barbara Sher? She coined the phrase "scanner". Amazon.com: Refuse to Choose!: A Revolutionary Program for Doing Everything That You Love (9781594863035): Barbara Sher: Books In general, the term is used to describe someone who moves from interest to interest. Typically, they will indulge in an interest to a certain level, then something else catches the attention. She has a "bulletin board" on her website. There's a forum called "Refuse to Choose: Forum for Scanners" that looks to be active. You are not alone. |
