NAL where do you live? Unemployment is all around us, and to argue with one of your last posts, it is definitely not easy for a young college graduate to find jobs let alone high paying jobs. Trust me I searched for 2 years before I finally got hired somewhere, and I was applying for jobs a high schooler could perform. There was just too much competition for actual careers.

this happens to me also I have been trying to get a part time job to supplement my income but because of my career title and experience I have not been able to get one as of yet !

If you really want a job bad enough, you'll do what it takes to get one. Or you can create a way of getting income that doesn't require a job.
true you do have to stand out and be unique

I started this year out unemployed in the psych ward after having been missing for about three days. Now I have my own business and I'm stripping on the side and volunteering at an awesome organization. I'm not employed in the traditional sense of the term, but this has been an awesome year for me as well. I'm happy everyday and I have enough money to go out and have fun or stay home and read.

No one ever makes me feel like a lowlife. You consent to feeling like a lowlife. It's quite common to be unemployed these days, so you're not alone. Volunteering is important. You could say you're a researcher or something that you do as a volunteer. No one has to know you're not getting paid for it.
