| Hello all, I am curious as to what people's inner thoughts are like. In myself I have observed that I have different types of thoughts depending on my situation/mood. How loud are your thoughts in your mind? When I am in a highly introvert state, I find that my thoughts are more of faint whispers, incomplete phrases, if I vocalized my thoughts at all. I rely heavily on my internal feeling to guide thinking, knowing the general content of the thinking depending on the feeling that they cause internally. As I am writing this, the vocalized thoughts are highly pronounced and loud. When I am thinking about something highly abstract and concentrating intently, and trying to solve something really fast, and not really exactly sure what I'm trying to accomplish (like I just telling my subconcious mind to figure it out for itself), but only have a general direction, I find that my eyes move back and forth at different speeds, perhaps kinda like the REM state of sleeping, and then sometimes just glancing occasionally. Kind of like if you ask someone a hard question and they go "uhhh...." and then glance around the room as their mind searches for the answer. With each eye movement, I feel like another faint vocalized thought fires off, with a mix of a slight visual image, with an internal feeling, (perhaps like intuition), perhaps like I am just directing the army of my subconcious mind with signals, instead of having each individual "thought" of the army "report" to me by vocalizing itself to me. Instead I just "feel" the thought. Does anyone else have a similar experience or am I just a complete weirdo? |

| How do you know what to think then? |
| |||
| There are generally three kinds of people: People who rely most on their visual sense, their auditory sense or their kinesthetic sense (feelers). While there are dominant types, usually its a mix of different things. I'm an auditory/visual person, mostly, so my thoughts are pictures or actually vocalized words.

| I suppose people want to follow the conversation here instead: Monologues in your brain? |

I myself... I see my thoughts ... I think in pictuers. That allows me...imo... to think about more at once, and then I can "zoom" in on bits and pieces and get more detailed in my thinking. |

| I know you to be a brilliant thinker (even if most of it is spent in trying to re-invent the wheel . |

| 80% of the time, I think in extremely vivid images, mixed with intense emotions, and sometimes complete with soundtrack. Like, on that TV show "Scrubs" when the main character has his inner monologue. It can be really fun, but also really exhausting. I can honestly say I've NEVER been bored in my life. |
