Default Trick for Happiness

Recently read a self-help book (titled 59 Seconds for anyone who wants to look it up) that claims to be based upon actual research. Seems pretty legit, too. Pages upon pages of citations.

In any case, according to very real research studies, doing something nice for someone else (random acts of kindness!) has been proven to make people significantly happier, much more so than doing something nice for themselves.

Next time you're feeling down, you know what to do! Go give your friend a free massage or something. Or wave and smile madly at random people until they smile back.

If you're too lazy to do that, even counting the kind things you do for people each day for a week and totalling them up at the end of the day seems to make people happier...

I think the real secret to happiness is knowing that you are living with authenticity and being true to your spirit.

How exactly is the best way to do that, is anybody's guess.
