Default Aww what happened?

Gosh the last few days I have been so happy, so happy in fact that I had a smile on my face all through the day. I didn't really know exactly what was making me feel so happy, I just felt content I guess.

Today, I woke up and BAM, really sad and teary and because of it, lots of crappy things are happening!

Bahhhh what gives?

Oh I just realised "Lunar eclipse"...that's why!

That's good, I was trying to figure out if I should deal with something now that has been on my mind, in this current mood...but I think I need to wait till these strong feelings pass.

I'll paraphrase a popular quote: do not be sad it's over, be happy that it happened. I like to accept my emotions instead of controlling them; to feel each emotion and understand them makes me feel very content regardless. And while you may not be at max happiness now, I'm sure you will feel it again.

It's strange how such phenomena can affect some people and others not at all. My wife gets headaches if it gets windy outside.

The weather, planetary alignment have no affect on me, one way or the other.

Oh I know...it shall pass, but it was just very strange, as there was nothing major in my life to bring it on.

I mean this whole week I was so happy, and then wham, I wanted to cry all day, and that's something quite rare for me.

Personally, when I feel like I want to cry, I like to force it a little bit. After a good cry I feel very relieved.

I was the same yesterday morning...felt terrific on the way to work, then half way there I started bawling in the street. I had to stop in the park and just let it pass before I went into work...I was a mess.

Then about an hour later...jubilantly happy again?

The moon does strange things to some people.

So, could you tell me more about how a floating piece of rock millions of miles away has affected your mood personally?

That's a serious question btw. Not meant to be sarcastic. Id really like to know the "how" of why you think that happens. Like, there was a lunar eclipse which caused....and then that caused...which caused....etc etc..

I woke up in a terrible mood the day of the eclipse. Not too sure "planetary alignment" actually changes ANYTHING other than what we SEE. But who knows.

I don't know why or how. If I was smart I would be doing quantum physics or something like that to understand it all I had thought if plants can grow or open up with photosynthesis why can't the same sort of thing be applied with moods and the moon? But having said that I don't know why are moods don't change each night...in that case.

I just noticed my mood changes around an eclipse etc

The next day I was much better, although I did feel rather ill...like I was coming down with something, but I seem to be ok today.

For those that are more into the astrology aspect this is quite a good read How to Deal with Eclipses

Oh, I wasn't questioning whether the astrology aspect actually has an effect on us. I was really just curious to see if you could "connect the dots" so to speak in your personal situation. I think there'd be value to that if you were able to kinda see how this situation seems to bring about mood changes. I think there is a "why" in there, and it might be insightful for you to see it.

The moon does govern tides, large bodies of water...and since our bodies are made up of 95% water and our cellular memory holds all our emotions and memories, and we are basically watery blobs of energy walking around, is it so far fetched to think that maybe our emotions aren't also affected by the gravitational pull of the moon?

I can't prove this, but it's been a theory of mine for a while.

I've had the argument with men before, and they didn't get it, but I didn't expect them to either.

Nup I can't connect the dots. To be honest I am not deeply into astrology, I just liked what she wrote. I wasn't referring to you not been into astrology by the way, it may have sounded like that. It was more for me...like I was saying to myself.. "I'm not normally into astrology, but here's something I found".

I'm also not one to observes why things like this happen like this too often, I just noticed it and assumed it most probably was that, because I've noticed it happened before.

In that article I liked how she suggested that when these moods come, it can be a catalyst for us to make changes. I imagine that to be true, because I had more of a "I just want to let it rip" kind of attitude, which is not what I am normally like, but she also said it was best not to make rash decisions under an eclipse.
