Awful things have been happening in the world since the dawn of time… and, it’s not about to change…

You ask why… each case of violence and madness has its own story… so, no one can answer that question for you…

There are things that we can change… and there are things that we must adapt too and live with… so, the best thing for each of us to do is to focus on our circle of influence (that is on the things that we can control) and ignore as much as possible the things that we cannot control…

That is the only way that we can keep our sanity… and that we can personally keep on expanding and growing… and, as each of us expand and grow… this little planet will become a better place for us all…

The question 'why' always opens you up to a story. The story is a complete fabrication, and takes you away from the moment.

What stories have we seen this week? The VA Tech shooter was depressed, had a rough childhood, there was too much access to guns, there wasn't enough access to guns, the police acted slowly, the police did a fine job, our American culture is the cause, violence on TV is the cause, no it's video games, etc...

If we take away the story, what do we have left? Just the moment. Thirty-three people were killed in a college in Virginia. That's it. Is there anything else in this moment that I'm not connecting with? What's my experience of the moment? What am I feeling? What am I thinking? Am I having a reaction to the moment and saying it should not be the way it is? Is the experience wrong in any way? Are my feelings wrong? Or, do I feel justified in choosing to be sad, angry, upset, cold, or not give a damn?

The world is the way it is because I created it that way. It's a reflection of me. It shows me what I'm choosing to create in the moment.

Didn't I create you?

In my world, My Monday was really great! My today is, a beautiful breezy, soft sunlight day, with my rooster crowing happily with the hens pecking, and scratching peacefully into the ground. Also, today, has 2 big puffed up turkeys courting a beautiful slender hen. What a fantastic display of glory!

Today, is also, a brisk walk by the river, out in the wide open peaceful countryside, with the sound of the river flowing over the falls, and the birds singing, amd the sunlight glistening on the water. I take all this beauty in, and feel the appreciation, as I sip on my Chamomille Tea, w/a touch of mint, my hands enjoying the warmth of the cup, as I hold it.

This is how the world is, today, because this is what I've decided I want to experience. This was, and is my choice.

We are all aware that other things are happening, out there, somewhere, but my chosen experience is just as real, and viable, and productive, as anything else that I might choose to participate in, but I'm really enjoying my world. So, I think I'll stick with what I've got, for today.

I'm with you too!

But really, if you are in keeping with LOA part of the reason why "these things happen" is because we all focus on them so much. Which is potentially a more ethereal way of explaining the "violence begets violence" or the "when one atrocity happens, another follows shortly after" phenomenon. Of course, with the death mindset firmly in place, the media is ripe to pick up on any macabre tidbits just to fuel the cycle.

Ok I'm rambling now. That's just my 2c.
