| Hi, there is a difference between merely thinking a thought, which seems to be the default for most people, and being aware of thinking a thought. It seems to me that there is a third "mode", of actively thinking a thought - it involves a conscious decision to think that thought, and it feels differently. I want to discuss about how those "modes" of consciousness look/soundfeel/seem/smell/taste to you. Yaknow, talk about nlp "modalities". Also, perhaps you experience additional "modes", or totally different ones than I do... So... When I "merely think", thoughts just run through my head like a stream or a small wave. When I focus just a tiny little it, I visualize a dark room with the thoughts kind of rolling through it. The thoughts themselves, their contents, are words I speak to myself, in a voice that resembles my own but seems darker and a bit calmer. When I'm aware of my thinking, the stream slows down to a tiny brook, only drops of thought entering and leaving. When I consciously decide to think a certain sentence, this is a louder voice, often connected to one specific image. So, let's just share our experiences, shall we? bl |
