Are some people simply born luckier? Are some people born into more fortunate situations? Are some people simply born with better cards? For example, there are some people born into highly-conscious, loving, encouraging families--and there are others born into families of alchoholics, workaholics, etc. Naturally, those born into encouraging families would have a better home base and a better starting point on which to build their lives. They would be able to become conscious and happier individuals easier--because of all the support they have from childhood. Those born into more termulous homes would have to struggle much harder to find that inner peace/consciousness that their early negative environment destroyed. Does this seem a bit twisted to anyone else? |

But truth be told, I've seen some unlucky lucky people. A few people I know have always been called lucky, but are emotional wrecks. What they have in money they lack in real friendship or mental stability. Seen it so many times. Although, I have read about the Author of "7 effective habits" and his family seems pretty sweet. That's a pretty ideal family. Well, despite this, I believe fairness is not a concept congruent with reality. Life's unfair. I also have a hard time believing that someone WOULD think that life is fair or we're given equal circumstances |

Do you think that some people are born with better cards in the grand scheme of things? |

As far as having a good family goes, it certainly does help but I know people who came from very abusive parents who ended up being awesome parents and great people. A big part of the equation is one's inner strength and moral compass. |
yes:D Everyone is born lucky! They are born into what is called the lucky club where everyone is lucky at everything they do and are always surrounded by sunshine and butterflies... it's ok though, it's never too late to reapply if you've accidentally misplaced your membership card. Also, if you have some weird phobia of butterflies we replace them with cute lizards.;) |

LUCKY Love unique creatively keen You the beauty of words is that they can mean whatever you want them to... |
I have an Irish friend who genuinely believes he was born extremely lucky. Consequentially everything seems to go right for him. |

I myself only awakened to spirituality in the aftermath of a highly traumatic experience involving being this close to death (close enough to have a near-death experience, but I don't remember having one) and being stuck in a hospital for two months with most of my friends and relatives far away and unable to see me. Likewise, much of my drive to be more than I am stems from the desire to transcend a weak and cowardly personality shaped by a lifetime of emotional abuse from my parents. If I had lived up to now wrapped in ordinary happiness, I do not believe that I would have become conscious, or taken the path that I am currently on. |
If one person's life is easier, deeper, happier, more fulfilling, or more conscious than someone else's, that does not necessarily mean their life is better. Whether human death is the ultimate end for us or merely just another step, we do all have unique experiences that can't truly be compared to one another. |
It can only seem twisted if you judge it as twisted. You can choose to see it as perfect. Luck is really quite a simple thing. When making a decision as to what belief you want to hold when it comes to luck, you have the following choices: Choice #1: Luck is complete and total randomness. Total chaos. There are no coincidences and there are no scripted events by a higher power or the universe. Reality is objective and in a completely objective reality, there is no such thing as a force that can shape reality. If you get lucky, then that was a complete chaotic event that simply fell into your lap and you cannot willingly cause it to happen again unless you once again get lucky. All people, regardless of mental, emotional and spiritual state have equal luck. Luck is totally and completely out of your control and there is nothing you can do about it. This choice, however, is ultimately disempowering. It's disempowering in a sense that if you believe it, then there are things out there that can only be achieved with “luck”. But, on the other hand, believing it makes you realize that if you want to get anywhere then you have to make your own luck. People who believe in this version of luck are usually very hard workers, but ultimately they are disconnected from their own higher mind. They have forever blocked themselves from receiving things via synchronicity. They tend to achieve things via a combination of their hard work, self-discipline and intelligence. There's a more empowering choice though. What is that choice? |
of cause..its karma..probably they were good in their previous life |
Absolutely ! some people find evreything ready for them to start, and others start their lifes in bad conditions, and bad family ( just because anyone can have children) so they need to struggle more, and most of the time they just quit.. |

Of course, as others have said, it does make a difference how you play the hand you've been dealt. I mean, I wasn't born into the Hilton family, but with despite my lack of private jets and mansions, I have an extremely happy, affluent life and all my needs are more than fulfilled. I would be prepared to go out on a limb and say I am sure I am happier than Paris Hilton. |
