In terms of healing emotions / traumas, whether from childhood or later in life and mastery over yourself, what techniques or healing modalities would you say have given you the most tangible benefits? For myself: -Lifespan Integration Therapy -Meditation (holosync in particular for 2 years. It gave me loads of awareness and healing, though I don't use it any more because it was too intense). I'm sure many of the other things I have done such as acupuncture, reiki, past life work, using the 'emotion code,' psychotherapy, EFT have also helped but the two above, I believe have given me the most tangible benefits. |

Simple breath-oriented meditation and visualization work for me. If I can relax my body and imagine positive, divine light/energy, I am then encompassed by that feeling. And in that energy, nothing else is too significant. Like many, I think one should develop his or her own techniques. I don't understand all these programs available. But I am intuitive and creative by nature, so creating my own techniques comes naturally. The white light meditation works great for me, and I can use it for many purposes: healing, protection, energy, guidance, insight, Q & A, . . . it all starts with the imagery for me. |

I woke up today feeling a tremendous shift in my emotional body. I did a fairly intense session of fast EFT on myself last night when I got home, and really shifted a lot of gunk and stuff that had been stuck in me for a while. It works so well with me...I also had an accupuncture session last saturday so I'm sure that helped as well...but EFT is the one that is bringing the best results for me so far.

The Sedona Method / Release Technique. I used a lot of other stuff over the years too, like EFT (quite good), Big Mind (very, no, VERY good - absolutely amazing stuff), NLP (no discernible results after several years), The Silva Method (very limited results) etc... I've also been using Holosync and other brainwave entraiment stuff for a little over a decade, which has been quite interesting but not "healing" in any way. The Sedona Method is fast, deep and effective. It has a tendency to render most other PD stuff obsolete, and using it helps you understand why so much personal development stuff can seem to work so well in theory and yet not work at all in practice. SM/RT is probably the best thing I have ever done in my entire life. I'm very happy I found it. |

At the risk of sounding "unmodern"... My biggest healing method has been prayer. I think it's so underrated. Other thing that helps me is the Sedona Method. Just requires a lot of discipline for me. |

An ISET session (integrated self empowerment therapy). I had a 26 years long phobia of birds (yep), and that session made me let go of it. A phobia can be quite crippling, so that was a very good move.

I have to agree with the Reiki therapy. I didn't even know I had repressed or unhealed emotions until my 2nd reiki session, where we kind of punctured the damn and it all came flowing out. I was amazed. Following that, I felt better but retracted someone following the breakthrough. Over the months and years since, I've continued uncovering hidden feelings, expanding in awareness, then contracting someone but never past the point I was previously at. Simply put, it's an ongoing healing cycle. Any kind of awareness and meditation exercises work too. As you learn to monitor your thoughts/emotions and "be the observer", they'll become more clear to you and will help you uncover unconscious thoughts and feelings. |

I prefer watching the Christian faith healers on TV. They make me laugh so hard, I get healed. "Now you will get up out of that chair and walk...walk! Walk, damn you! Walk!" I actually sent away for a free prayer cloth from one of those guys. I lost it, though. Nutrition and positive affirmations work well. It helped me heal from brain cancer much faster than average. So, that's what works for me. Also EFT is wonderful. |

Healing is a wonderful thing, it demands some work but the benefits are extraordinary. I myself have just gone through a very intense healing episode. I have become more aware of my fears of money and money survival, one that I think affects us all. I myself have been raised to be terrified of all that. My awareness of it wasn't good enough, I think I just needed this life changing experience of hitting rock bottom and being drowned in these fears. As terrible as it may sound I feel free now and my mindset has finally changed to where I've been trying to bring it. The healing method that has been working for me is to accept the fears in my body, in other words surrendering to the feeling of fear. As I can go deep enough, past the threshold of the fear I begin to feel a huge release of energy that bring my awareness to another level where I see everything about the fear clearly. Then I can let it go as I really feel that my body is energised. In the situation I have just gone through, there were several major fears entangled with this fear of survival, so it wasn't easy at all. It also helped to write down all the things that were bothering me, that also acted as a release. I feel that my mind is a lot calmer now, I don't have the pain anymore which was causing me to continually problem solve. It was driving me nuts but I couldn't control it. I've been using this method for about two years now and it has really changed my life. I came up with this method because I've always been fascinated with the mind-body battle. I now realize that when I think too much, it is because I'm subconsciouly afraid of something. |
