Default I am Grateful for...

Hello Everyone,

Here's my first contribution to this forum. By the title of the post, you should know what's coming next.

I am grateful for:
My loving, caring wife.
My good friend and business partner.
My soon-to-be released, successful website that saved me from corporate life.
The good people that enter my life and inspire me towards success and continued happiness.

If you feel Grateful for something, feel free to share.

I could (and regularly do) go on for pages. But at this moment, I'm grateful for this amazing sunset outside my office window, a delicious new tea I have brewed, and these new forums

Default So many things...

For living in a time and place with anesthesia, dentists, comparatively advanced medicine and alternative medicine,
civil rights,
telephones, the internet,
toilets!

More personally, I'm grateful for having access to education, for my health, for my parents being alive, for my family (parents, son, husband....) and all the love, for my home...

Besides all the general things (health, family, friends)

I am grateful for a few specific things:

The heat that is now working (I live in Minnesota now and it's cold)
The car that I use to drive me to work (I was on a bicycle before)
My thick, warm gloves (couldn't afford these before, even though they were only like 5 bucks!)
My rubber boots that I brought with me (just had our first snow!)

so, I am deliriously happy as one could be who's living in the cold, and I am extremely grateful for that, as well as the fact that I am living, cold or no cold.

Cheers!

Default A Few (Dozen) Thoughts about Gratitude

I'm pleased -- or should I say grateful -- to see gratitude come up on the Forum. This is a subject close to my heart.

Until the U.S. holiday of Thanksgiving (November 23), Nneka Kelly over at Balanced Life Center is orchestrating her "Season of Gratitude." I've been submitting to her for about two weeks now (I've seen Steve Olsen's material there also), and I'm sure she'd be delighted to see submissions from anyone interested in sharing their thoughts or messages on gratitude.

I'm pleased so say Susan Palwick at Rickety Contrivances of Doing Good included a piece of mine, "Gratitude: An American Path" in the latest addition of her Carnival of Hope.

Most of my submissions are from my blog GratefulNotes: Moments in the Deeper Power of Gratitude, where I've been posting short reflections (one reader called them "devotionals") since mid-September. I have 27 of these messages posted so far, and I offer them for your reflection as well.

Thanks Daniel. Funny, I did a search for my name to figure out the last threads I posted on and found this.

Everyone, please join me for the Season of Gratitude. If you have a blog, you can write something on it and send me the link. I post the links I collect for the day and some from around the web along with a post from me on gratitude. I was out for about a week sick so it kind of floundered, but I would love to hear from all of you.

As for me, I am grateful for:
-A wonderful church home
-The internet
-My family and friends
-The ability to express my passion
-Choices
-Knowing that I have choices
-A fabulous blogging community
-My health
-Physical, emotional, and spiritual freedom
-More than enough
-Abundant prosperity

My list in endless. Concentrating on gratitude for a month is really interesting. Everyday I concentrate on one thing in particular. It is amazing when you really think about it the things, large and small, that we take for granted. I am truly blessed. We all are.

Great thread!!

I'm grateful for:
-the ecosystem that supports us
-living in a first world country with stable institutions
-my gorgeous daughter
-the people who pay me well to show them EFT
-public transport so I can get around easily
-my house, garden and fruit trees
-my lovely cuddly cat
-friendly intelligent supportive friends (that includes YOU!)
-the love (just generally the love)

PS I find if I just say to myself "Thank you for the love" I get into a dreamy blissful state in seconds. Joy!
