Hi, a while ago I was told by an intuitive that I'm an empath. While I didn't really feel other people's (or building's Recently, however, I realized that my caring for the world is more of an intellectual kind. It gives me a purpose and I do feel it's true that people matter, but just being with them isn't enough for me. I often don't get much out of hanging around with people. I'd rather have something to work on, something to achieve with / for them. Doesn't sound much like an empath to me. On the other hand I'm drawn to work with people and I want to teach them and help them achieve stuff. So I'm a bit torn apart… I don't know if the intuitive was right or not, but it got me thinking. I have problems with my energy. I'm often tired, lacking real drive to do something. I need 10.5 - 11.5 hours sleep a night to feel okay. It's going on for years now and the doctors couldn't find any organic reasons. So I thought, maybe all my energy goes into blocking my empathy / shielding me from others feelings. Or maybe I lack drive because I stopped accessing my empathy, which would let me feel more connected and energetic. Is this possible? Or maybe all the buildings I lived in were tired too. I would like to explore my empathy and see how it affects me. Do you know any methods that could help me with that? How can I recognize if I'm empathic or not? What could I do to block / embrace empathy? |

You sound a lot like me. I view hanging out for the sake of hanging out to be counter productive. I enjoy doing creative projects with people instead. You probably have a lot of energy, but give it out too freely to others by always helping and giving. This will cause a need for the body to regenerate itself for longer periods of time. I feel the energy of the world all the time. I have to remember to put up a psychic shield, and ground myself so I do not get overwhelmed. I prefer working and relaxing at night when the energy is more settled. You can strengthen your aura ( protective shield) by eating healthy whole foods, drinking plenty of clean water, and getting adequate rest. You could also take salt baths and burn sage to clean your aura as well. |

Maybe you need an outlet for your energy like a hobby. My understanding is that energy comes in through the head and exits through the feet which we refer to as grounding. You should try some grounding activities like playing an instrument, writing, gardening, sports, anything physical. My energy has gone down too because I spend way too much time on ungrounded activities like using the computer. One thing for sure though, you do have energy or you wouldn't be alive. |
