I don't get what some people who say things like this mean. So what if he spent millions on his daughter?

Sure, to us it's excessive, cos most of us have never seen that much money, let alone had it to 'waste'on a wedding. What is a wedding though...a celebration, a party. What is so wrong with spending that much on a huge party for his daughter? If he has the money to spend, why not? It's not like it's putting a hole in his pocket...it's loose change for him.

Of course it's possible...it just seems like it's not because most of us have never experienced it. He's not depressed by it, he's always laughing...though he is quite racist, so I don't like that about him.
