Haha I just had to chuckle at this under the forum description, both for its absurdity and its accuracy. I am escaping it for now, anyway. I've had a great couple of days. A lot of going with the flow. Met this one guy to jam at Stage 84 tonight and ended up singing and jamming with a bunch of others after he left. Met some cool music students from BC as well. Whatever, /minute details of my life... things are looking up in all directions. I generally feel more clearheaded, energetic, and like I'm moving with life instead of resisting it all the time. I'm meeting lovely souls all along the way and not worrying about outcomes. I see growth and forward momentum. Anyway, share something positive about your life right now. |

Thanks for starting this thread! Sunday is my birthday. I'm turning 31. I haven't really celebrated my birthday very much, generally speaking. Not since the girly sleepover pool parties of my misspent youth, when my father hid in his bedroom for 36 hours to avoid accidentally encountering scantily clad teenaged girls. I did the requisite getting ♥♥♥♥♥ faced when you turn 21 thing, of course. But that wasn't really something that I was present for. Per se. Anyways I decided to celebrate this whole weekend. This afternoon my friend C, whose daughter I watch all the time, offered to watch my son this afternoon so I can have some time to myself. I need to work on preparing the soil for my garden, I'm putting my fall seedlings in in 2 weeks. And then tomorrow morning I'm taking my son to the natural history museum, and in the evening my mom's watching him so that I can go out to dinner and sit on cushions on the floor and eat exotic bizarre sushi with 3 of my girlfriends. I even plan on wearing makeup, la di da. Sunday morning I also have time to myself because my mom has "dibs" on sunday mornings with my son, it's the normal routine with us. |

| Mine is coming up on Wednesday. I'll be 29. Maybe I'll just go ahead and start celebrating now and just celebrate for a week. Hell, maybe I'll start celbrating my 30th this weekend and just go ahead and party all year long. |

CGW #5 (10/29-10/31): Who's Attending? These people are going. I had to choose between 2 types of workshops and this one was cheaper and more people would be going, so that's why I choose CGW. At some later point I'll do the other (NLP course). It does seem very likely that this will be the last one.

Fun thread! My birthday is in 29 days! Recently got feedback from a client saying I was the first one to actually get to the deeper layer stuff. Not the first time someone has said that. Nice to get the feedback. I am also managing to leave a positive impression at my employee situation, which is great considering I gave notice and have sometimes doubted my in-person skills. Got to see my dog after being away from him for a week! Totally needed downtime. So totally needed it and glad to have it at the moment. Oh, also got a book delivered today that looks like it will be a great read! Wish I could swing CGW as a birthday present to myself, it might be the last one? |

(personally I had to get used a bit for the first 5 pages or so, because of the way she writes, but after that I totally got into it, and the writing got a bit easier). Quote:
Even if you cannot make it to the workshop (Which I truly hope you do) maybe you can just hang out with us after? Please please pretty please?? That would be so cool to meet you in real life as well!!!!

One day we'll rent a cabin (or 5) in Bali and get massages for 5 cents an hour? That was the plan on the message boards I went to like 10 years go. It never came to fruition but I think it could stlll be glorious. |

I have so many positive things going on right now, I can't just pick one. Hmmm.... well, my boyfriend and I have been together over a year now and I love him so much. Each day I fall more and more in love with him and I am so excited to be with him for the rest of my life. I have a wonderful family, wonderful pets and things are just great. Oh ya, and I love my job!

It started Friday night, when some friends took me out and bought me drinks (shots of Crown Royal) and got me ****-faced for my birthday. Then the discussion about my birthday bash the next day on facebook by them. And then, Monday night I got my first birthday wish and I was like...huh? It's not my birthday yet. Then Tuesday another one. And last night a bunch of pre-birthday wishes cropped up (all on FB). And now, they are rolling in like crazy. So, I've been birthday-ing it up since Friday. Can I party for an entire year? I'm sure going to try!

Nice! I had a fun birthday weekend. I didn't end up getting time to myself on Friday because my friend ended up having to deal with her exH and his other baby mama. Don't ask. But my son and I watched UP about 3 times in a row. This child loves that movie. The third time was more playing on the floor in front of the movie, though. Saturday morning we went for a 2 mile walk. My 2 year old can really walk, dude. He is a traveler. I went out with mah ladies on saturday night. I don't drink, but we had a lot of lavender tea which apparently makes you drunk because I look drunk in all the pictures. LOL. Sunday and Monday I frantically finished a project that was due Monday at noon, now I have an exam tomorrow to prepare for. |

Lavendar tea, huh? Haven't tried that one. Have you had kava? Positive things... okay, I've been working on a new song and it's coming along well. I'm definitely adding some elements to my music now that is improving the sound overall, like more stops and changes in dynamics. It's satisfying to write things that aren't the same strumming pattern all the way through. I've also been studying my a*ss off for the GRE. Put in 3 hours yesterday. On the verbal section, I got 26/30 correct. Math was only like 20/28, but each time I make a mistake I learn something new and store it away for later. It feels good to be so committed to something and see the fruits of my efforts. |

| I kind of love it. Prevaricate, abeyance, mendacious, inchoate... do YOU know these words!? What about the rules of a 30/60/90 right triangle?!?!?!!?/ Oh God, my soul is dying. |

If you need help with math-type struggles lemme know. I'm also a writer, so I know a thing or two about writing/grammar.

don't allow your inchoate knowledge of GRE concepts to get you down.
