Default Request for binaural beats products reviews

Hello everybody,

I am interested to try out binaural beats products and there are so many out there on the internet that makes it hard to pick the ones that's really effective. So anybody in this forum have used any binaural beats products? Please post your experience with those products, recommendations, or honest reviews - good or bad reviews. Thanks!

Default binaural beats

Hi Metaphy,

I've been personally involved directly and indirectly with binaural beat soundtracks and technologies since about 1987. The most benefit from them are never the affirmations but are definitely the entrainment frequencies.

The way the technology is, it is difficult to make one binaural beat soundtrack better than another if 2 tracks are trying to achieve the same purpose.

right ear to left brain. left brain to right ear. corpus collosum is traffic director between the hemisphere. 100 in one ear and 107 in the other ear. traffic director cancels them out and there is a "phantom beat of 7hz...difference between the 2 that is created in your own brain and doesn't come from the headphones. your brain then synchs to 7hz. that is exactly what binaural beat brainwave technology is.

I explain more in this post about it and also about PATHS, light years beyond binaural beat technologies. PATHS results thread

I forgot to include that this thread is for unbiased and honest reviews/recommendations only. If you are somehow affiliated to a company, please don't post here.

I've only used one product. It is sold by the Immrama institute I believe & the one for meditation is called "Insight".

I've only used it for about 3 weeks so take what I write with a grain of salt. I don't know if I've found it superbly beneficial but it did relax me greatly & I fell asleep (common result I've heard...) while using it.

Insight CD

I also made a copy (extracted it to lossless...maybe not effective but anyways).. for my husband who found it helpful for him & he is in a warzone right now so I suspect that stands for something

I did order Holosync's demo CD but the price was a big turnoff for me so I researched & took a chance with the Insight CD which was a lot less.

If you're curious you can also check out this product:
Neuro-Programmer 2 Home - Self-Programming with Brainwave optimization and Psychological techniques (Hypnosis, NLP, etc)

They sell a program for relatively cheap where you can make your own entrainment CDs...use your own music (so you don't have to listen to what they make you listen to... the Insight CD's utilize rain which is nice..but not all the time...)

They also have a forum on that site which discusses quite extensively all kinds of entrainment products from Holosync to Insight to their programs.

I hope this has been helpful for you. There is also another thread on the Spiritual forum on this site that discusses some stuff too I believe. Good luck finding something that works for you!

I bought the Awakening Prologue from Centerpointe and have been keeping a blog on it (in my sig).

In short, so far I like it, and the money I spent doesnt seem like a lot in terms of how much material I have recieved from Centerpointe. I also think spending the money on it will be more of a motivation to use it every day than a single 25 dollar CD. It is also a program, not just a soundtrack.

You could however make your own soundtracks you want, but I like the idea of someone else doing the research for me and me just reaping the benefit.

I originally found the link to this really cool free software product on this very forum: SBaGen -- Binaural Beat Brain Wave Experimenter's Lab.

For a list of frequencies to try, check this out:
Brainwave/Cymatic Frequency Listing

No I haven't bought any. Yes, I use them every day.

Cheers,

I have been using GNAural. You can make your program yourself, either by pre-programming or controlling when you listen. Also includes saving your output to mp3. The best of all is that you are in complete control and the software is Free, meaning not just that you don't have to pay for it, but that you can also develop it further if you wish.

No exaggerated placebo claims, but effects are relaxing when moving to lower frequencies. Won't still beat a good night's sleep though.

Thumbs up

After reading a similar thread I ordered the Insight CD as it's very cheap in comparison to holosync. I don't think you need to pay big bucks to get good quality. I've been using it for a week and it's very good for meditation. I don't fully understand the technology behind it but I have had increased focus while working recently. Whether that's beacuse I think i'm getting benefit from the CD or I am benefiting from the CD the result is the same

The insight CD somehow keeps me awake which I like, I don't like to drop off while meditating! I've also been getting some very weird dreams!

I would recommend software from transparentcorp, if you want to learn how it works and apply it.
If you just want to be a consumer I would recommend iMusic Series by Volition Thought House: your Soundtrack for Success which is made with the software.

transparentcorp software has the advantage that it does a bunch of related techniques with are similar to binaural beats but don't require headphones.

I am at the moment using the Wake Up CD from the Imusic series on my way to a 1.5 hr/3 hr sleep shedule (at the moment you can add an additional 30 minutes getting to sleep/awake).
In addition I have used the software from transparentcorp to enchance my meditation.
transparentcorp has also a nice forum, in which a spent a little bit of time. If you want to use a software to make your own recording I would recommend reading the forum, to get to know which frequencies work for other people for which purpose.

I bought the first Holosynch CD from Centerpointe and used it for a while. Stopped using it, wanted to try binaurals again, realized I had lost the CD. No way I was going to buy it again!

Then I found SBaGen (mentioned in an earlier post). There is a tutorial somewhere on the site on how to create the binaurals for the first Holosynch CD. Added bonus is you can mix your binaurals with whatever audio track you prefer -- I mixed it with my favorite spoken meditation and liked the result better than the original Holosynch. And you can't beat the price -- free!

Default Binaural Beats

Hi Metaphy6; I started out with Biorecharge & this is a good product at a cheap price, nice people to deal with. I have tried Hemi Sync & this is is a great product, very relaxing with the proper CDs. I wanted to use Hemi Sync's Gateway as it's reasonably priced. I'm told there is talking from beginning to end though & I don't want someone elses voice when I'm trying to meditate. I am going to try Holosync as there isn't any talking. The turnoff is price though as mentioned elsewhere. The $159.95 + ship to start isn't too bad, all other steps(& there are 12) have a $300.00 list price. This is quite a hit for my money. Get the free samples from Holo & Hemi Sync. Hemi Sync's Metamusic is also great, no talking. Good luck, Randy

Some months ago I purchased a product called SHARM 2.0. It was $50 and it has helped me immensely during a very stressful phase in my life.

There are all sorts of features to it, you are supposed to be able to author your own tracks and whatnot, but I have never dabbled with those. I use many of the pre-programmed tracks and enjoy them very much. I must admit that it took me some time to get used to the "feeling" I had in my brain (for lack of a more apt description) when i first started using this product, but that feeling made realize that there is a noticeable effect when in use.

Incidentally, when I was using PATHS, I mentioned on a different thread that the track on my PATHS theatre sounded exactly like one of the tracks from this SHARM software. Not that that's terribly relevant, but if one is taking Aaron's claims into account, SHARM may be a product to investigate further.

Oh, and you can download a free trial prior to buying, which is always lovely.

Thumbs up Insight CD Update

Well a few weeks on from buying the Insight CD here's my recent post about it:

I’ve now been using the Insight CD for meditation for over three weeks and I am very happy with the results. Carrying on from my original post Insight CD I’ll let you know how much success I’ve had using it.

The Insight CD has 3 tracks on it for meditation and so far I’ve only listened to track 1 which is called The Journey. It’s recommended but that you listen only to track 1 for the first ten days to get accustomed to it then if you like progress on to the second two tracks which take you into a deeper meditative state.

The first few times listening to The Journey I probably projected my expectations onto what it would do as I found it difficult to clear my mind but as a bonus I stayed awake (I tend to relax so much I fall asleep). Now when putting on my headphones I know I’ll consistently be in a relaxed state and usually am within 2-5 minutes.

The effect of the first 25 minutes track can vary though depending on my mood. I have found myself listening to 10 minutes then having so many great ideas I have to stop, write them down and that’s it I’m on a creative frenzy for the rest of the night!

At other times I’m a sleep by the end of the track and don’t wake up for hours. Most of the time though I can listen to the rain falling on the track and slowly start to clear my thoughts, which in itself having the quietness of mind and seeing what your brain is churning over is very interesting. What is very weird and something I’m not conscious of doing before is kind of like day dreaming. I’m in a deep dream like when you’re a sleep but at the same time conscious of things around me and noise and can stop dreaming when I want, a very intense and deep visualisation that I consciously control.

Now for the benefits of when I’m not meditating to the Insight CD. I am certainly able to focus on the task in hand for greater periods of time. And I’m able and seem to want to be in this focused state a lot more often. An example of this is when working and not distracting myself with Messenger, MySpace and general web surfing. I’m able set a target or goal of what I want to achieve in the next hour then do it. I’m finding it easier to multi-task as well without getting stressed.

Generally I’m feeling more grounded, balanced and centred. Now whether this is because of the Insight CD or just because I’m taking the time to meditate regularly I don’t know. The end result is the same though because of the Insight CD I do meditate and do get the benefits.

My blog post for this is here: Insight CD Review

If you are familiar with an audio editing software they are pretty easy to make. If you use Audacity, you can import any sound you want and make it binaural.

All you do is splice it up so the left and right track are separate and edit the frequency of each using the program. I don't have time to give a detailed tutorial but give it a shot you might like messing around with it anyway.

Awesome! I have created a whole website for free binaural beats.

Check it out

We also have a forum for people to post their own beats and tutorials using SBaGen. With more coming soon. The site is pretty new, so help spread the word!

In peace,

I can only offer my personal experience with Centerpointe's Holosync Solution. I'm now on the first level (after completing the prologue about two months ago), and I've had the most incredible reaction to it. I go through phases of negativity as old stuff comes up to be released, but I am much more confident, relaxed, outgoing, and enjoy life so much more now. My friends commented after just a month that I seemed to be "floating".

Whichever one you pick, I highly recommend trying it. It's been a life-changer for me.
