| I was reading the Article on Never Get A Job. And the last part that says "There’s only one thing that prevents you from seeing this truth — fear." How does a person get the Fear out, I been told many times get a job and I hate being Just.Off. Broke, Plus I want to stay home with the family. I Took off a year to get a online business going and nothing, I need to get the fear out. Thanks. |

| "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." This is 100% true. A few years ago I bought a book written by an ex-Navy SEAL because it had some interesting stuff on how they plan, prepare, and make decisions quickly under fire. The book turned out to have a few pages on fear too. The author compares fear to a veil or mist. As soon as you step through it, you discover there was nothing there that could hurt you. The only way to know this is true is by stepping through your fear.

| I actually think that asking this question of most other people does not help. Most people run from their fear, deny it, or try to intellectualize it. Which is why I suggest that you ask yourself your own question, do some soul searching, perhaps get some real guidance from people who have dealt with and/or transcended massive amounts of fear. They just happen to be few and far between ...

I bought it because he covers the reasons for SEAL success: they over-prepare by normal standards. It's a great read. Did you know that the initial 2 week SEAL bootcamp is designed to make everyone fail? Yes. This weeds out the quitters from the the winners. The winners simply refuse to ring the bell no matter how many tests they fail. Knowing this one "secret" helped the author to finish the two week ordeal. Thanks for the referral.

| Matthew M.... Are you still working on your online business? If so let me know your URL.....and I will review it...and give you some ideas. You have already overcome a huge fear....leaving your job to start a business and stay home with your family. There are financial fears, the fear of the unknown, how long it will take to replace your income etc..... As mentioned above....stepping into our fears is the only way to overcome them. One thing you may want to try is to....."do it" ...the thing you fear without spending too much time thinking about "doing it." Sometimes we tend to talk ourselves out to doing what we fear....by thinking about those "what if's"..... Wish you the best.... Robert

| The only way to really overcome your fear is by heaving faith. You have to have faith that you can do it, that you are good enough, that you will be OK. You have to have faith that you have a purpose, and that people need what you can offer. How do you get faith? Find out who you really are, and what is it that you can do better than anybody else, than go one step at the time. Accept failure as necessary learning steps toward your success, and keep going. ***** I also have a web site, and will appreciate all the coments.

| I think Steve talked about curing fear through understanding in his one podcast. How "conquering" your fears often don't work, and neither does avoiding them, but through proper understanding fears are transcended and recontexualized. The reason why doing what you fear most helps is that it forces you to confront your erroneous beliefs and correct your understanding of it. But this doesn't always work, nor is it necessary. It does help you develop courage, though |

| i dont think it possible to get rid of fear we need it. but i do believe its possible to turn it into something possitive. its kind of like the movie rocky were mick was telling rocky to turn his fear into volcano and let it explode over the guy.lol of corse were not talking about fighting but i do believe once we reconize what fear is and why we feel that way we can turn it into a possitive. and just by overcoming fear it creates courage. credti goes to steve but that got to be one of my favorite sayings fear is the mindkiller |

| Hi Matthew M. Other books may also enable you to reframe fear. If you are open to spiritual ideas, you may consider: Conquest of Fear by Sri Swami Sivananda Download the Free eBook About.com: http://www.dlshq.org/download/conquest_fear.pdf |

| Hi Matthew M, I'd love to find the answer to the question like you're doing. This year I've resolved to live with courage, and while I've made some growth I also realized I still have a way to go - which is good! Here is one way I've learnt to dealt with fear - that is to grow my courage by steps. For example, what is one thing you know you could do that would be good for you, but scares you? And instead of expecting to conquer it overnight; treat it like you would treat training at the gym: you don't go in and bench press the heaviest weight you see, you start at your level and work up. Find the little things you can do to stretch your courage, and your courage will start to grow.

I wouldn't say I faced it as well as I could of. I needed more confidence in the way I spoke, but boy I just felt amazing after it. I did come away from it, thinking I did ok and next time the situation happen I will handle it even better and be more assertive. |

| The process to break free of fears is to identify and change the core beliefs behind the fears. Even the fear of death had beliefs associated with it. People who have had near death experiences (their body died briefly and then the came back) generally don't fear death at all. You don't have to have that experience to overcome your beliefs about death. The process requires changing beliefs. I don't say that you "just" have to change beliefs. It isn't that easy. It is a real challenge, it will take some time, but it is doable. |
