There are many ways to deal with these people. Regular meditation helps to let go of negativity. Accepting your disagreements. Aiming for something other than being right. Don't try to shower them with positivity. If they can't see it but you just try to beat them over the head with it, that's not much better than what they're doing. You could think of it as waiting for them. Wait for them to see the positive side of life, but don't expect them to. Don't demand they do. We're all searching for happiness... if it really bothers you, of course the best thing to do is avoid them. But try to make yourself stronger, look inside for answers rather than outside.... Steve said that when he decided to complete college in three semesters, he faced a barrage of people who though he was insane, yet their influence lost and his method won because he surrounded his own mind with constant stimulation on time management and the like. Seek to constantly influence your mind what what you want to influence you and then the things you disagree with will lose. You wouldn't even have to avoid them. But, if they're influencing you, it's because of a weakness within yourself. There is a way to overcome that weakness.
