Hey, guys! I'm here to share something that happened to me a few weeks ago. During a night shift at the hospital I work at a young doctor had to "visit" me frequently to ask about lab results, get blood for is patients etc. That night he was the doctor in charge for the emergency department. I knew from looking at the results that he had some difficult patients to treat in his ward. As the time passed he looked more and more worn out (just like me, I guess, haha) and I started feeling really sorry for him. So when he came in again shoulders hanging down, glaring resigned, I said "Here's your A negative and some chocolate" with a big smile on my face His reaction was so unexpected that it knocked my socks off! His expression changed from almost-dropping-dead to absolutely suprised and grateful. He looked at me with really big eyes, thanked me and asked whether he could do something for me in return. He sat down next to me, ate his chocolate and started chatting with me for a couple of minutes. I was so surprised by his emotional shift that I was completely baffled. But it instantly changed my mood as well. For some reason this made a huge impression for me. Not only it showed that small gestures make a huge impact even on strangers, but it made me realise "Wow, I really -do- love making people happy". I have tried to tell this story to some of my friends and noone understood what this moment really was about. That's why I'm sharing this here now I don't know what to do with this experience, yet. But it's definitely going right to the prescious moments section of my memories. Guess, I'm an official light worker now Any thoughts on this? |

That is an inspiring story and it just illustrates that no matter what the situation, love is the answer. In one brief encounter you showed compassion and love to another human being and in return shared and felt the same love throughout your own body, spirit and mind. That makes it a love story. No matter what the question is love is the answer. | |

It made me smile to read your story. Thanks for sharing. The small things can make such a difference, and unexpected kind gestures can go such a long way. And the best part about it is, when joy is shared, it is only compounded. So you did something nice to the doctor and he felt very good but you feel even better in return. It is a positive cycle.
