Default Using Consistency to create balance in life

I got in a bit of an argument with my hubby this morning. He doesn't feel I'm being consistent enough in disciplining our daughter (3) and feels like she's out of control.

After getting defensive, mad and bawling ~ I went out for a run and really thought about it.

Here's my thoughts on what happened and what I'm willing to do about it. I'd love some feedback ~ how you have been able to bring consistency into your life.

Thanks

Default habits

Creating habits seems to me the only long term solution for balance.

Without strong, intentional habits, we tend to continually be moved by the 'spur of the moment'

Some of the habits I've created in my life have been rather easy... others have been Hell!

Creation of functional habits was the goal of my 30 Days series on my blog.

Habits are fueled by consistency. A daily habit is easier to form than a weekly habit, because at the end of 1 week, you can already feel real momentum building if you have done it every day. It usually takes 21-30 days to form a daily habit.

The great thing about your daughter acting up... is she will likely do it at least once a day... helping you build your habit more quickly!

keep smiling,

Ben
