EFT is tapping. Like accupressure with affirmations and self-talk. There are many technique variations. I have used it with great success and recommend it. EFT Home - World Center for EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) has a fantastic weekly newsletter... Jennifer |

I like EFT quite a bit. I had been studying qigong and chinese breathing/meditation methods for a while... so I was pretty skeptical about what seemed to be an oversimplified 'half-cocked' approach. But it works! It works really well, and you don't have to know jack about the meridians you're working with to have a powerful effect. EFT is an incredible and simple method that has helped me quite a bit in clearing up mind-body tension, frustrations, limiting beliefs, etc. (I've done quite a few posts on it at my own site). In addition, Gary Craig gives away more for free than just about anybody. keep smiling, Ben |

I've been introduced to EFT a couple of years ago by the Wealth Beyond Reason program. This program focuses mainly on making the Law of Attraction work by eliminating the blocks between where you are and where you want to be (limiting beliefs or negative emotions). But you can use EFT on just about anything. I've written an introduction to EFT on my blog: How to Get Started with EFT | Everyday Improvement And I've compiled a list of the best EFT sites: Top EFT Sites | Everyday Improvement There's also a dvd on EFT/tapping called Try It On Everything (the link to it can be found in the list of sites above). It shows you how the producers and a couple of EFT practitioners use EFT on all kinds of things (grief, pain, abuse, eating disorder, et cetera). You can of course read all about it, but you have to try it out for yourself to really experience it. Remember to write down how you feel about something before you use EFT on it, because afterwards you sometimes feel like it wasn't an issue at all. |

Yeah I was very much into sometime ago and it really did work for me sometimes. However I have gone right off the whole lot.... I don't know why, I have even tapped for that too. I was also lucky enough to have a few EFT Master practitioners friends to tapp on me but nothing worked. Saying all that I would still recommend that you give it ago. You have nothing to lose. You also might be interested in other Meridian Energy Therapies like EFT, BSFF, TFT, TAT. There is also a lot of controversy about EFT/TFT and the creators too. You can find loads of stuff on youtube. and you can also do a search for the name "Carol Look" She has a free news letter that you can subscribe to. |

This is part of the reasoning behind the SUDs scale (Subjective Units of Distress). Rate the pain/suffering/etc. from 1-10... do a round of tapping, then rate it again. Once you get the pain down to a 1 or 0, and it stays there for a while, it might become difficult to remember it ever being all that bad, but you will usually remember "It started out as a 9." This is one of the reasons many great mystics emphasize the importance of journaling. A journal is a live account of your transformation. Even if you aren't practicing EFT, meditation, NLP, etc.... if you journal, you may well look at entries a year earlier and think "Wow... I can't believe I was thinking that!" But I won't preach on this too much... I just got consistent with journaling in the last year, and it still isn't everyday... keep smiling, Ben | |
