verbal and messy-- It was ego at its best. I blog about personal development but no one in my company knows. This situation was not new but the intensity was very high. I was succesfull to help them settle down, but my basic observation remains. Personal Development is an ignored field and this is mainly becuase this is not organized. No one knows from where to start and where to end?? why?? because every human being is different. Now and In my blog I hope to look for common answer for all.....the basics which should help people grow in this field. Any thoughts??? |

I guess personal development covers such a wide range of topics and has so many different ways of dealing with different issues its a bit overwhelming when we begin so we tend to specalise in one area (at least I did) and slowly branch out to different parts which we pick up new things from other people. I don't think there necessarily is an end to personal development, I think of it as a journey where each time we learn something we grow a little more in our knowledge and the key is to continue learning (possibly until you explode from knowing too much :P) Why people ignore it, im not sure... It's one of those fields that some people think is weird or other people consider 'touchy' and 'sensitive' and others think there is an 'imense' level of 'pressure' but I personally find it quite rewarding and interesting. Good luck with your blog |

Not to sound like a socialist/communist because I am not but how corporations and the Protestant work ethic focus their efforts, conflict is bound to happen. Corporations main goal even in the oldest American legal documents are based off of profit, regardless of how it is attained. A company gets in trouble if it does not profit because of the organization of investors and such. Protestant Work Ethic revolves around the doctrine that if you are financially successful it will equates to the odds you are going into heaven or not, the more money you make the more God likes you. It may sound strange or even crazy, but its part of most Americans [I]Habitus[/I, years of political and religious ideology will do that to a people.

Obviously your team members are still very disconnected from their true selves. It is quite funny to observe their egos though, I must say. You can so clearly see them at work, and such people are so identified with their egos that whenever someone disapproves of their beliefs, they take it very personally.

I know a very successful colleague tell me that self help was for losers. And all those people going to the self help classes (like Landmark) were a bunch of losers who don't know how to solve their problems. I was totally floored! Lord forbid him ever asking for help, ever. Personal Development means different things to many people. Some people hold limiting beliefs about it, and it only serves to hold them back. |

| Personal Development is an ignored field and this is mainly becuase this is not organized. I strongly encourage you to read some of Ken Wilber's work if you are looking for an organized approach to PD. He is immensely comprehensive. |

You take responsibility for the fight. You ask Divinity to remove the programs in you that caused the fight, say thank you and it is done. Heal yourself. You will find that the relationship between your team members improves. This also works for families. | |
