| This project asked people to draw where they felt certain emotions, including fear, anger, joy, sadness and love. All of the individual pictures were overlaid to show a composite for each emotion. It is really interesting to see. The pictures look like buzzing energy and you can see where people center each emotion. Most have an "aura" in that people drew the emotions as radiating from or surrounding their bodies. It's interesting to look only at the pictures, not the labels and see if you can pick each one. Anger centered in the head and fists, radiating outward intensely. Fear centered in the gut and staying close to the body. Joy centered in the heart and head, radiating around the body. Sadness centered int he heart also, as well as the head but not radiating, seems to extend downward. Love is interesting. It's a full body experience, radiating around the body and extending upward from the crown. What I like about this is that it is not a single interpretation. It is a composite of many individuals independent interpretations, and therefore speaks to an intrinsic human nature. What do you think? |
