Hi everyone I just wanted to start a discussion on cognitive behavioural therapy. What do you think of it? If you tried it, has it helped you, and if so, how? I also wanted to add a suggestion that cognitive behavioural therapy may work better if the patient tries to translate positive thoughts to something beyond just a sentence. Because, although I do negative self-talk when i'm hesitating, there are times where I automatically react negatively to situations. The brain can't construct sentences that quickly. Perhaps these thoughts are made up of something more basic, like a sound, or an image. I don't know, it's just a thought. What do you think? |
