i was pondereing about the thought of trying to imagine and dream about what you would like to have everyday so that it kinid of makes your mind postive and in a way lead you to get what you want. this is very nice if what you think or dream of happens in the due course... however i am not sure what will happen if for some reason whatever you wanted or dreamed of so much for so long did not happen will you be able to take it postively as well ... if yes how? |

There is a huge difference between wanting to realize your dreams and intending to realize your dreams. And I'm not talking about the law of attraction, or manifesting anything. I'm just talking about action. By intention, I mean knowing that you will take responsibility for taking the actions necessary to make those dreams actually, physically real. There is no reason to worry about not realizing your dreams if you actively take responsibility for them. Wanting and dreaming is not enough; in fact, it's painful to do those things if you aren't acting. I urge you to look at the Life List of John Goddard. This man came home one day and wrote down 127 things he wanted to do before he died. To date he has done over a hundred of them, and these are no small feats: For example, one of his list items was: Read the works of Shakespeare, Plato, Aristotle, Dickens, Thoreau, Rousseau, Conrad, Hemingway, Twain, Burroughs, Talmage, Tolstoi, Longfellow, Keats, Poe, Bacon, Whittier, and Emerson He probably won't get them all done, but do you think he's going to have any regrets on his death bed? Not likely, because he made a habit of action. No worries, just get to work! |

There are two components to being successful. One is knowing what you want, and the other is taking action towards it. Constantly thinking about what you want helps to make it seem real to you, so that you start to beleive that you can actually have it. This serves to motivate you to do something towards acheiving it. Usually when we don't take action, or take consistent action, it is because we don't really beleive that we can have what we want. We either never get started or we give up too soon. That is why constantly focusing on what you want is so important. It is the best way to motivate yourself to take action. |
