When people have a strong feeling attached to a goal, they usually are more likely to achieve the goal, the one exception is anger, because that CAN backfire. So I can see why you would classify anger as a negative emotion but I say, use what ever you have.

All the bad experiences of my life are lessons and I'm not going to just forget them or let them go. They haunt me everyday and they give me reason to better myself.

To put it another way, when you find inner peace and happiness, you lose your edge, you become soft and careless. ...
You may hate me for saying this, but, if that is your belief that will be your experience. You are not looking for anyone to change your mind because this is your belief.

I prefer to observe my hate, and my love, and see what I can learn from them.

again i beg to differ about hate and passion. you can hate passionately...but i do not believe in any way shape or form that if you hate it will lead you to some kind of deep achievement. if you are passionate about anything that force will be enough drive alone because it is born of something positive...unless you are driven by hate to do something harmful to something or someone you feel has wronged you. i do not believe hate is any kind of a spring board away and towards something. i believe you have to leave the hate behind, which i still believe is a learned emotion and move forward. i do not think hating a hate crime has anything to do with hating, or more correctly disliking a particular food.
